There is no rush as we need to find a home for Toby before we sell the tank anyway.

I'll let you know, otherwise it’s yours :)
John
On an aside, we still have his Royal Tobyness for sale.
I was worried after the removal of the other fish and all the chasing round involved with the rummy noses that it may have unsettelled him BUT he still came out last night for his algae wafers as usual.
Any takers?
I will take £25 ONO...
Will pm you.
You may as well take all the food we have too as we will only need the algae wafers for the Royal Panaque after the other fish stock has gone :good:
We've only just put our house on the market so there's no rush really.
We just want it sold before we move which may take months.
I have someone coming to pick to bulk of the fish stock up tomorrow for free but still have Toby, my Royal Panaque up for sale under the Livestock section. We love...
Okay, let me know when you plan to pick them up so I can make sure someone's in.
Can you fetch some way of transporting them as I am keeping the polystyrene box for my Royal Panaque to be transported in as he needs a large container.
They're going to take some catching too as it is quite a...

9 rummy nose tetras
4 corrys (Sterbai, bronze, albino, paleatus)
1 otto who comes out now and then. We don't see him in ages and think he may be deceased...

Hi everyone,
I've not been on the forum for quite a while for one reason or another but we are in the process of moving and unfortunately can't take our tank with us.
So reluctantly I am offering for sale:-
Equipment make/model/size: Aquastyle 980 Aquarium & Cabinet

Hey all,
I'm looking into buying a new internal filter for my Aqua one 980. I am also using the bult in hood trickle filter but just use an internal to add to the water movement/flow as the built in filter does not provide much. I have been using (up until now) the Interpet Internal PF Power...
I have been away from this forum for quite a while and one of the topics running before my absence was a few people trying to work out a way of fitting an external filter to an Aqua One tank. The problem with fitting one is in getting the inlet and outlet piping in through the back of the tank...
Thanks for your replies. I have checked the piping and can't find any kinks so I think it is either a blockage in one of the pipes or the pump head which may explain why the 5amp fuse keeps blowing or can blockages cause fuses to blow? I'm running it with a 13amp fuse in it at the moment...
I have had my Eheim Classic 2215 External filter for a about 2 years and have never had any problem with it up until last night. I had cleaned it out and when I put it back together and set it all back up as usual I noticed it took much longer to prime than usual (I mean it took the water much...
Could it be hole-in-the-head? I know cichlids can get this but have never heard of corries getting it. If it is hole-in-the-head the best Waterlife treatment would be Octozin according to their website. I'm not very clued up on this disease as none of my fish have ever had it. Sorry I can't be...
As far as I know it will be ok for the siamese fighter, the mollies and angels but I don't know about the fry. Protozin won't damage filter bacteria. I have used it a few times with no problems at all.
I had a Fluval 3 internal that did the same thing after about 6 months. I presumed it was my fault because my water level had dropped below the motor level and it had damaged it. Luckily I had an external running on the same tank (only used the internal for water movement and aeration) because...
Thanks for your replies,
I have since found another website that seems to be selling them even cheaper. I think this is the same deal

Anyone used this company?
When I got my new batch of clown loach they all had white spot within a week, I treated it with Protozin at half dose and it all cleared up with one course of treatment with no losses and has never come back. I have used it in the past also and have always found it to be very effective.
I was wondering whether anyone has this tank setup and whether it is a good buy. It says it comes with everything that is needed and it appears so according to the spec.
I don't know anything about Rena External filters either as I have only used Eheim in the past. Also I have never used Rocket...
I put the conditioner in a bucket, then add the water to the bucket because I read somewhere that aeration helps the water conditioner to work faster. I'm not sure how fast conditioners work so that's why I don't add it straight to the tank.
Me too. I have a 42 gallon I need to change from gravel to sand and have been tyrying to work out what is the best way to do it to cause the least stress to my fish for weeks. Sorry for not helping at all too
I have 4 females and one male in my tank and they get on together fine. The only problem I'm getting is the male cherry barb won't leave my corries alone, keeps chasing them around and stressing them. Sorry if this is changing the thread but does anyone know what I can do about this?
Yeah, think it's worth getting rid. The other bit I took from my other tank that is now in the same tank with the fungussed wood has no signs of fungus at all and the bit I put in the other tank that came from that tank is starting to grow fungus on it. All 3 pieces that have fungus came from...
Thanks for the replies. Do you know why it's taken so long before it started doing this? Is it worth trying bleach or do you think I'm best off starting again with new wood? Do you have any advice on what to look for to avoid this again when looking for some new wood. I do need wood for my Royal...
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but...
My tank has been up and running now for about 8 months. I put 3 pieces of bogwood (which had been soaked thoroghly and scrubbed into this tank when I set it up. In the last 2 months a white cottonwool like fungus began growing on it...
I have 3 different strip lights on my fish tank, one of which is a moonlight but I can't switch it on because it makes my 2 angelfish scrap. They usually get on fine. No idea why -_-
I tend to do a water change before treating whitespot using Waterlife Protozin just to make sure the nitrates are low whilst treatment as I would have thought good water quality will also help the fish fight the disease. Also bear in mind that most treatments advise against water changes during...
It says on the Waterlife website "Do not use when crustaceans, echinoderms, rays, seawater sharks, pirahna, sturgeon or sterlets and related species are present" so I think it should be ok with clown loach.
I've found Waterlife Protozin to be a very reliable cure for whitespot. Been using it for many years and it has always cleared it up after one course of treatment (even with clown loach). It is a probably a good idea to do a fairly large water change before starting the course as you shouldn't...
:hi: Hi lilladybev and welcome to the forum. I have two tanks, one with gravel and one with sand and the sand one is much nicer . Also if you ever plan on getting any corries in the future a soft substrate like sand is kinder to their barbels. As for the shells I am no expert but there may be a...
