Cherry Barbs

I often hear that for each male cherry barb in the tank there should be two females. Well, if there are six cherry barbs in the tank is it okay if there are 5 females and 1 male??

I have 4 females and one male in my tank and they get on together fine. The only problem I'm getting is the male cherry barb won't leave my corries alone, keeps chasing them around and stressing them. Sorry if this is changing the thread but does anyone know what I can do about this?

I have no idea how to help you out but I probably won't have that problem since the only fish in the tank will be the cherry barbs.

I think you will be fine with that ratio then as I have a similar ratio and they all get on fine.
