i do the 15/15minute bag method all of my fish have survived some people quarantine new fish in a seperate tank for a few weeks first, this is advisable but not necicary, just means you can have a good check the fish is disease free so it doesnt go and wipe out all your established fish

i have no experience with feeder blocks but most people will tell you there a waste of time and money and in some cases even end up killing the fish due to water pollution

fish allways love live food ;)

im liking the breeze block and plywood stand idea, remember to include these in the weight and support it in the middle too! and yes i would use some matting under the tank it distributes the weight evenly or something so the glass doesnt flex and break the seals, also prevents scratching

IMO if you want a quarantine buy a tank simgly and the heater/filter seperate
