Panda Cories

Pandas are relly cute when they are small, but at least for me, they slowly turn darker and darker as they age. At 2 years old, they no longer show that whitish colors along with black - they are more like redish white with black.

Still, they look better than 99% of other cories, in my opinion... ;)

I think Black Phantom Tetras may have an ingrained instinct to follow cories. Have no idea if I'm right, or if they even live with cories; however, I have a school of black phantoms that always follow my cories around. The behavior seems to be related to how cories kick up a lot of food particles that they don't eat, and then the black phantoms use their keen eyes to nab them mid-water.

I had 2 panda cories and they did not make it past 2 months  They seem to be harder to keep than most other cory cats. Very cute fish you have there! Good luck! I hope you have better luck than I did.

tear-scar that could be it - I've noticed they have excellent eyesight, and are pretty intelligent for tetras - they have learnt to suck from the pipette that i feed bloodworm with.

melfice i too had very bad luck with some i bought a while ago. I'm hoping it was due to bad stock as of the first two that died, one of them was barely 8mm long and the other had lsot his barbels before i got him. :X these ones seem much healthier though!

I use chop-sticks to feed blood worms.

They just are simply superior to the fork at holding on. :D

chopsticks?! good god....it takes me long enough to catch them with a pipette...! I'd like to see you try that with daphnia

Very nice panda pics here. They look so cute together!
