i would say Omega One Tropical Fish Flakes since its made out of whole fish meat and not fish meal. :good:

marbled hatchet fish are top dwellers i believe. They grow to about 2 inches i think but like to be kept in groups.

hm, well i wouldnt get more cories because imo, there are a lot of bottom swimming fish already. I would say get some rainbows if your tank isnt already at its full stock.

any pics yet? ;D also, your tank seems to be about 120 gallons not including decorations. If you want 200 tetras in there, i think you can pull it off if you have it heavily filtered and also have a lot of plants to help you with the nitrates xD

well, wouldnt tank mates have to do with the jag outgrowing the tank because wouldnt they cramp the jag then lead to the jag outgrowing the tank? like not enough space gah. i was never good at wording things >.>

hm, maybe the reason why we have no nitrates is because its too high for the test drops to work? but that cant be true since i have a tank with a lot of plants >.> oh well, ill just do a water change just to make sure

what is a nitrate sponge and what does it look like o.0 i have the same problem as you djceri q but thats in my cycled tank. Both ammonia and nitrite are 0 but no nitrate...

hm, now that you reminded me of danios, i remember longfinned leopard danios that caught my eye o.0 But i thought that danios were to active to be placed in a 20 gallon tank. also, i have never seen pencil fish before at my lfs, the closest thing to it is a cherry barb :o

Hi, i have a 20 gallon long tank that i want to make is a community. My choice of fish so far is pearl gouramis for top swimming, and corydoras trilineatus (sp?) But, i also want some fish for the middle region. Any thoughts on fish? i want my pearls to be the "centerpiece" so nothing bigger...

i would think no because the barbs might nip the pearl gouramis fins ;)

ugh, my lfs said that they only grow to 2.5 inches >< ah well, back to the drawing board on my stocking >.>
