    I have 2 clowns in my 55, and they're always out and about. Never made me think that I need to add more, since they're always doing something to grab my attention.

    That would be a 22 gallon tank (So a 20 prolly) US gallons anyway. UK 19 gallons, or 86L Make sure it's cleaned out real good before used.

    ^ yes so true, my rtbs chased my bala shark around all the time. Well now that hes 6 inches or so and my rtbs is a tad smaller guess who does the chasing now? :D Actually he doesn't chase him, more or less just mocks him.

    My two clown loaches eat anything and everything that they come accross. Tubiflex worms, algae tablets, bloodworms, flakes, shrimp pellets, sinking wafers, and heck even crab bites.

    2 Aquaclear 500's or even 300's would work, and they are dirt cheap. I'm partial to Emperor 400's 2 of those would be great.

    So the tank is a week old? I take it that it's not been cycled yet and what you are seeing is a bacterial bloom. Are there any fish in it? What color would you say the cloudiness is?

    I used to have gravel with my cories and they survived just fine. Although when I did switch to sand, boy did they sure become a lot more active.

    I'd run two Emp 400's personally. They have mechanical filtration too -_- I seriously don't think that Aquaclear is that great of a filter. I've have both a Emperor 400 and AC500, and IMO the Emperor is just simply put a better filter.

    What kind of filter is it anyways? I mean if a filter is THAT loud then there is something actually wrong with the filter. -_- Try raising the water lvl as high as you can, if it's hob that should help/fix/solve the problem.

    I let people feed my fish all the time. Younger ones with supervision of course. But other than that, I think if someone doesn't know how to follow instructions/can't watch and learn, is incompetent.

    Replacing substrate.

    I used black sand in my 55 gallon tank and I went through 40 lbs of it. Actually 40 gave me plenty as I still have about 5+/- pounds of it stored away. That gave me about an 1.5 inches of sand. I personally think 60 would be way too much.
