Tank stand.

im probaly going to make my own aquarium stand because its cheaper. i need some help on the basic design. a board would be placed on top and bottom of stand. supports would be 3", supports would also be in middle of stand. a shelf would also be put in on one side. each original length would be increased by half an inch. is this design ok or not?, image in nonfish photographs

I see no problem with it at all. I actually like that design, should turn out really good.

How are you going to finish it?

it depends on what my desk color is but probaly like a red wood paneling. and a trim around the top and bottom.
