ah! Yeah it kind of stinks, I put my light on in the evening when I'm at my desk. I also re did my Chi as i got a new stone. The plants at the top are pieces from a Money Tree, I am rooting them in the tank then will be putting them in pots with soil (not in the tank lol).

Do you find that the light from your Chi is bad for plants? i had to remove my anabis plant bc it started getting holes, going yellow, and dying off. same with my marino ball.

I have a single tiger snail and never had any eggs or little ones. I don't think they can without a mate. But he sure does clean well lol.

My male betta gets like that and sometimes i wonder if he is sick, but he's just fine. He will rest below under his cave :) If you are interested some people have learned to train their' betta to do tricks.

From what i read the Tetra 3i is very noisy because of the bubbling noises it produces. I would like something super silent like my current filter.

I'am looking to replace my current Fluval Chi filter (square box). Does anyone recommend a filter that is silent and not a lot of movement for this 5gallon tank? Yes it is for my Betta.

Snails also love algae place one in and they will gather to it.

I had a snail with my guy and he didn't care much for him LOL. Soon i will be adding 2 corydoras and a snail again to his tank. Hopefully it will go well :)

I kept a snail with my Betta and he didn't care. I think it depends on the Betta. Mines is very calm and not aggressive.

He wouldn't be having "eggs" as it's a male betta. seems more of a wound/fungal infection. I wouldn't keep platy/gupps/mollies with them either imo.

the ammonia is 0 nitrate is 0, atm i don't have test for the rest as these were given to me.

Out of the API Liquid Test Kit, which ones are the most important. I was thinking these. Ammonia Nitrate Nitrite I was given a nitrate liquid bottle with tube, and was thinking of buying the other 2 separate. Do you think that will do?

I think that's just his coloring coming in. Betta's tend to change color during a time of stress. from your tank size 26L (6.6gal) that is a good size for a betta. keep up with water changes hopefully your betta will recover.

my betta is strill trying to recover from fin rott too. even though i've done many water changes during the week his top fin seems to have gotten smaller :(

I'm going to be honest, 2gal is too small imo . get a 5 gal.

They never charged me for the bulb or substrate :P I took the plant box out and the plant is directly in the substrate. I keep the tanks light on only in the evening for a max of 3-4hrs if even that. Not sure how to use this Nutrafin Plant Grow either as the instruction text is so small i can't...

I ended up removing that new bulb as it made things worse. Some of the leafs where areas that were brown, have gotten holes but the vein part of the plant remains. kind of like a spider web.

No its not alge the leafs becoming transparent on the brown spots. It is about 7 inches away from the light, and this light is led directly hitting it. Its the design of the tank. Maybe I can re position the plant box and see what happens.

Hi, i have a Anubias berteri and it is getting brown leafs looks like burnt :( it is in my betta tank it gets direct light from the Fluval Chi filter, which uses LED lights. Is the light to strong? The Morino Ball is also becoming brownish :(

I've used Melafix by API in other tanks with guppies and i never noticed anything on the water surface. However, my Betta's tank does have some filmth on the surface but this is from his food. I believe it's the protein in his flake food and i dont put a lot bc he eats it all up right away :)

Another debate about melafix and bettafix lol. Sorry to hear about your betta he is pretty. Looks like fungus of sorts maybe a water change is required I would do 50% and place him in a QT tank for treatment. Let us know how it goes goodluck!
