Advice For Healing This?

I found a HMPK betta at the LFS, and he has a lesion-type thing on his side. This is the best picture I can get. I went ahead and bought him, because I think he's pretty and I like his personality. He doesn't appear to be feeling poorly, and has been responsive. Any idea what this is, and how I'd go about treating it? Thanks for any help!

Could it be some sort of fungus? He's very pretty

Looks like cotton body fungus.
