Tina's Twin Bommies

This one

I am presuming I would have to pay at least £5 in delivery if not more. As long as the LFS does not sell it, it would be easier to purchase from them, if they sell it in the mean time, I will of course look at the ROMAN site.

The LFS lady only gets them when ROMAN has a special offer on, this means she can sell it cheaper and still get her profit marigin in there.

I would look at the "Y" connector method rather than piercing the mains plumbing (standard fitting included) as experience has shown to me that these can leak. Whereby causing you a plumbing job.
You'll need the "Y" connector itself and a Tap connector
Order some extra ball valves from RO man (you'll need them, cheap & handy to have in)
Parts to think about

First off, cracking tanks. It looks stunning. Makes me want to upgrade from my orca (well next year :hyper: , biut don't tell the wife).

I did the "Y" connection method, very easy, I would recommend.

This tank has been Researched Well and executed to achieve a high visual impact
my only criticism would be to find a way of disguising or re-addressing your powerhead incursions into the main aquaria.
by doing this you will be able to focus on the living scape which incidentally looks stunning.

I really like this scape Well done T.

Gawd, Colin sounds like you are marking a piece of work in school

As my other half fits kitchens occasionally out of his normal job, he has an extensive bag of various plumbing fitments that always includes these items. He has to have spares of everything with him on a job as it is a PITA to keep going to plumbers merchants to get the right one.

Thanks anyway though.

I have made a couple of purchases which acclimatising now. Pics later

Seffie, he does sound like he was marking my work, but seems I got a good grade

Thanks aswell for the other nice comments, always nice.

I have said it before and I will say it again, my clownfish are complete wimps. After acclimatisation I released the new fish and the clowns are scared to death. I took these just after to show you.

Seffie is probably going to think I have takken leave of my senses, but in a quest to make all fish going into the tank look completely different, the first new fish is

A Bangaii Cardinal

I have decided it is a she (does not matter as will not be breeding) and will call her Hatshepsut or as our tour group said last year to try and remember the name Hot #### Soup!!

I bet you thought that was it didn't you, ha ha, I made a second fish purchase, I believed it to be a bicolour blennie, it is not its actually a yellow tailed Midas blennie. On looking it up, I found it is Escenius lividanalis, but the not so much seen bicolour version. There is a reefkeeping article on Escenius Blennies that yielded this information. It also seems to be an algae eater. He is devouring the diatoms on the sand and is quite a character to watch reversing into tiny holes, if he cannot wriggle in backwards, he comes out has a look and then tries again. He has been in the LFS for a few months now and I was hoping he would still be there when I was ready. Mom is over the moon, he had started to recognise her from our frequent visits and always sat on a rock watching her. The time in the LFS does seem to have made him a little tamer.

Enough rambling

Lets introduce Thutmosis.

TMC have a load of fish coming out of quarantine this week, I will be going Friday afternoon to see what is there, may go Wednesday aswell to see the list, see of there is anything I really want. The tanks are well run down waiting for this weeks mega delivery.

Stay tuned.

Ehhhh Tina, did she sneak in to your bag.........surely that is the only reason you have bought one

Thats funny Seffie - but I did actually ask for it.

We just wanted all different looking fish. She is quite entertaining especially at feeding time, she went mad for the mysis shrimp, I thought she was having some kind of fit, she moved that quickly. She also moves around quite a bit exploring and scaring the clowns.

I am quite pleased actually, she has definately added something to the tank, a permanent shape, as she is always visible. This is a bonus to Andrew, he likes to be able to see the fish.

keep a listen out for the strange clicking noise they make.....I now it is definatley the cardinal that makes this noise as he was doing it in the bucket when I was walking down the stairs to transfer him to the other tank!
