As I said in my other thread, I just got a new betta today. (:)) His fins are a little curled on the edges, though. I remember someone saying that this can occur from bad water quality... and there's not a doubt in my mind that the quality at the pet store was bad. Soo, is there a way to cure...

Whenever we have to put a fish to sleep, we use the clove oil/freezer trick. Is it really inhumane? Because my mom has fancy goldfish, and knows a lot about them. Supposedly, The fish falls asleep from the clove oil before it has a chance to get that cold. Then it freezes in its sleep, so it...

Oh my gosh, I almost cried over that video :-( :-( That was absolutely horrible!!! That poor fish. It had lost almost all of its colors by the time he turned the aquarium light on. :-(

I found these bowls in various places. It makes me so sad to think that people coop their bettas up in these things. :( "Neon Lights" Betta bowl... So small, and it seems like a betta would hate these lights constantly shining on him. This one's too small, and it seems like the bettas would...

Here's Siam's! :) It's a one gallon. This picture was taken about a week ago, so the water is filled higher now. The dark blue and bright green look really good with his red fins, especially right after the tank has been cleaned! (when the water's crystal clear)

Are the scales on his sides poking outward at all? is he looking swollen behind his gill area? If so, this may be dropsy... What I lost my Harold to. :( You can try treating it with some Maracyn Two.
