I would think that he's constipated. If so, try giving him a pea. Just boil it for a minute or so and then let it cool. Remove the outer shell and cut little pieces and throw it in there. Oh yea, make sure it's either a frozen pea or fresh pea. If you already do this, are there other things that you see wrong?
How much do you feed him?

uhhhm, did he just eat or something? Is that jar his home? Has he been going poo? Could it be constipation?

Its hard to see in the pic but are his scales standing out on end at all? if not he's probably just constipated, feed him a cooked de-shelled pea- try cutting it up into small bits, and cut down on the amount of high protein food you feed him a bit.

Are the scales on his sides poking outward at all? is he looking swollen behind his gill area? If so, this may be dropsy... What I lost my Harold to. :( You can try treating it with some Maracyn Two.

he is a young betta so he will show a full belly every time he has a good meal dont go treating him if nothing is wrong if you thik its constipation dont feed him for a few days and if hes pooping hes hasnt got that so just dont feed him for a few days and it will go i have noticed crowns show a full belly and if he is also having fun and swimming around and not lying on the bottom of the tank he is ok so dont treat for something thats not there............

Expect a full belly with one so young. When they eat, they blimp up.

If it seems to be bothering him any, like if he's not pooping, or if he's laying on the bottom, or swimming funny, then give him a pea to get things loosened up. But with him being so young, he's just going to blimp when he's had a good meal. There's not much you can do about that. :)

If you think it is constipation and he won't eat a pea for you...you can always give him a Epsom Salt dip..that will get things flowing pretty quickly..usually only takes about a 5 minute dip (1 TBSP epsom salt to 1 gallon water).

I wouldn't try the Epsom salt except as a last resort. I tried it when Jericho was having problems with constipation and it seemed to stress him out pretty bad. Some bettas can handle it better than others. :/
