:-(

He has no signs of fungus, no marks on his body, but Saturday morning I noticed a drastic change in his color and he was listless with fins clamped ... immediately did a 100% water change (he is in an unfiltered 1.7 gallon tank) and he seemed to perk up a bit. He even took a pellet on Saturday night ... By Sunday he was sitting on his plant and not moving and his stomach was swollen. I have no idea what I did wrong!!

I tried to feed my a pea but he refused to eat anything ... he is barely breathing now....

I am seriously ready to give up on fish altogether :-(

I know how hard it is to see a creature you love suffering and not knowing how to help, or if you can even help.... Just remember, that Bubbles has had a great life with you. You showed him love, and I know that its made a world of difference to him. Don't give up. It's hard, but it -is- part of life.

You're a great parent to your little fishies, and just think how sad their lives would be without you. Where would they be if you hadn't chosen them to be a part of your life? In a cup somewhere, just trying to live? In the corner of a tank, forgotten because they weren't the prettiest fish?

Bubbles loved you, I know it, so don't give up just because of this. I know that he thanks you for everything you've done and all the love you've given. :-(

i am sorry to her about ur fish. but don't give up. it's just like any other animal, they get diseases that we can't help, but watch them suffer, or quickly end their life. it's quite a sad thing.
