I've been a little down about my job lately, but today was cool. It was our second annual "Bring a Grownup to Music Class" Day, and my students and I used our music superpowers to make a couple hundred adults happy today. That makes for a pretty good day. But whew-doggies, am I tired. I'd give my life savings* for one of those giant, hazelnut Cadbury bars right now.

*ten bucks is ten bucks

Picked up another ten gallon today and my glass from the glass shop that I’m making jump proof tops with . Eyeballed my layout in the fish room and I’m getting ready to install my central air lines . Tomorrow I move two aquariums and then I should be all set for when my pump arrives . Just got an e-mail from Jehmco , it’s been shipped , so I should be up and running by next weekend . Life is good .

Still awake and hanging out on the couch having a burger… And something sweet… 🍔

This game is even less interesting than the half time show.
Eagles pulled it off. I was rooting for them so I'm happy lol.
Crazy point difference too. Almost felt bad for the Chiefs part way through the Eagles absolutely obliterating them.

Halftime show was good and I'm not even a big fan of Kendrick.
I held in a laugh in front of my family when he was singing "Not Like Us" and looked straight at the camera as he started smiling when it came to the line about Drake. He had too much fun doing that on national TV 😂😂

The Peabody Institute for music is the oldest conservatory in the United States. It attracts world-class musicians. This is the reason the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is top notch. Yesterday I saw the first trumpet from the Baltimore symphony play Bach’s Sonata in Eb Major for trumpet and organ and his Sonata in A Major for trumpet and organ among other Bach compositions. The pipe organ was colossal with pipes surrounding the entire auditorium. Stereophonic sound. This was better than halftime Rap.

I’m just admiring my planted aquarium today.

I’m looking at getting some type of shrimp and snails to go into my redo planted aquarium.

The diss track battle between Bach and Telemann is real.
You are so hip and au courant. I had to look up the meaning of diss track to get your message.

At my age, it's artificial hip.

I just made 8 acrylic spawning mops, as I have been rearranging my killifish tanks. I was quite discouraged for a while, as there was no local interest in these fish. It seems futile to breed fish no one wants, and I had let some species go to consolidate with my favourites.

Then I took a pair of Aphyosemion ottogartneri to the local club, and a bidding war broke out. The same happened with the next few species, and I'm now getting messages asking me for these fish. The local scene has discovered how well they go with planted tanks, which is the big pastime here. They are a bit like shrimp, except they're fish. I think the local people are getting tired of shrimp.

This has put me back on track with my mad killiekeeping, as while I've never anted to breed big numbers, I do always end up with a few extra pairs as I try to keep lines going. Now I can find them homes.

Below is one of the ottogartneri that got the ball rolling.

Oh, and diss tracks? That goes back to 1970s reggae deejays, although I have some early 1950s R&B where people take each other's songs on.

I was going to do water changes yesterday but ambition left me. I cleaned house a little, took an old sewing machine apart to salvage parts, body is too rusted for repair. Did belly rub duties on Sadie who got spayed last Tuesday. Today I built a fire, have to recover the south wall of the greenhouse and move the big chicks up into the coop, we have too much cold coming for their dog crate house. Glad I didn't get tomatoes seeded or broccoli seedlings in the garden, they would not live thru a hard freeze
