Tina's Twin Bommies

WOW that last shot is absolutely amazing

Thanks Owl, that was why I put it last, I do like to tease. It took a while to sync the camera , me and the fish. Not bad considering I have stitches all across the underneath of my elbow.

Took a while to manage to keep the camera steady, could have had that shot 10 minutes earlier.

Stunning..last picture is absolutely perfect...seems to have settled in well.

Considering the time he was in the bag and the amount of water changes I performed on that bag. I think he really has settled in well.

I was determined I was going to get that Mandarin back to Lancashire, could not come any earlier, the other half could not handle his grandads funeral without some alcohol.

I have everything crossed, I just hope he continues to feed how he has done today, he literally only stopped eating for that display. He is over the rocks continuing his pod fest now.

sorry about your last mandy :(

The pictures of your new one are FABULOUS!!! Well done. Ceasar sure is a beauty. (when I was lil kid we had a HUGE dog named Ceasar...lol...was big enough that I could ride him.)

Thanks folks, he is still doing great today, he moves all over the tank whereas the last one did not stray from the left.

Chris at Fishmans Frags is to be commended, great communication and he sent me a wonderful frag of the frogspawn I have been drooling over for a long time now.

Definately a frogspawn Seffie, must have been the picture. :good:

Nice frag..got exact same one with two heads off another supplier over there about 5 months ago and it now has 7 heads....they grow fast and get even more stunning with size. Got a few things off Chris myself and found exactly the same..real nice guy to deal with, although his postage to here can be a bit steep,lol...

I have more good news, going on a day trip to the Midlands again next Friday, last stop before home is the same Aquatics centre the Mandarin came from.

They have the facility to bag in pure oxygen. I could come home with a Cleopatra

That looks lovely Tina, great colour and pink tips

Did you see the Mandarin Seffie??

Its Hollybush Aquatics at Hollybush Garden Centre. It is on the road signposted Willenhall from Junction 11a of the M6. It is a huge shop. If you are coming from the M6 South going Northbound as you come off the island it is the last exit before getting back on the motorway the way you came. The shop is a few hundres yards from the motorway island on the left hand side. One of the biggest garden centres in the area, it has grown from a couple of sheds when I was a little girl.

Buddy, I think you may be right, only problem is, since they think they sold me a female, I am not too sure on their sexing skills. When I asked if they had any males they said no. I could only see the top fin once it was in the bag.

The shop do have a stunning 7 foot display tank, in their is the largest and fattest Mandarin I have ever seen in the flesh. It is huge.

Omg, how did I miss that...............

He is truly gorgeous and that last shot Tina, wow, wow, wow :good: How lucky you will be to have pair - how much lr are you planning on having in the big tank?

Brilliant photos!! Tank looks great. So wish we had held out for a psychedelic mandarin. We saw a really healthy looking spotted one though (unusual in this area unfortunately) and we had to have him. Typically though when we went back the next week they had a huge psychedelic one for sell that was also very healthy looking.
