The trick is to use a high ISO, I use 800, with a shutter speed of about 40 on my DSLR..

See under the T5HO there is always a slight haze that is seen.... does that happen with everyones tank or is it just me?

Great angels, need more plants! :) Get rid of the swordtails and platys, keep the angels and the roselines, neons also.

Just so you all know, this happens with ALL tetras. They take time to adhere to the lighting once the tank light is put on. Also.... You can leave the light off all the time. It won't HURT them, per se.

I think I'm pretty well stocked right now... the denison barbs (torpedo barbs) do a good job of picking around, so do the bloodfins, and flying foxes... if anything in the future I might get some pygmy cories. A blue lobster would always be cool.

Get some big pieces of drift wood in there!

I'd change that substrate out to flourite black or eco-complete or ada aquasoil for the best opportunity for those plants to grow.... Also the blue just makes it looks kinda unrealistic IMHO...

Bought $25 worth of plants today from my LFS. Wanted to get some stem plants, had a lot of root feeders before. Rescaped a good amount of it only leaving a couple things in place. Water is cloudy cause I moved a lot of the substrate around while moving plants... Comments welcome...

#40## I hate to hear about things like this, but you are definitely overstocked for a 30g.

Yeah I have 4 in my 90g, and they are good to go, but I wouldn't put any in my 37g, which has the same footprint as a 29g, just taller... They get to be 6-7"...

Looks cool except for so many big rocks, it will be a pain to do gravel vacs in there... My recommendation is less big round rocks. I've done the same in the past and it was a pain in the you know what to clean!

Ppl with co2 usually turn on the co2 only at night. But, you can leave your o2 (oxygen) on during the day if you see your fish at the top of the tank often gasping for air. What kind of lighting do you have and what size tank?

How often are you doing water changes and gravel vacs?
