I got two new Oscars this week. I got a orange tiger Oscar and a black and silver one that I had to have because of the colors. I have never seen a Oscar with these markings before. In one night they ate 9 tetras between the Oscars and two convicts. They are hungry little things. Here are some pics, feel free to elaborate.
Some of the pictures are not the best, I never thought taking photos of fish would be so hard.......

Gorgeous! I hope they're not being kept in a community tank if they've shown a pechant for tetras!

They are in with two silver sharks and two Convicts. The tetras were there to be eaten, they were given to me. The Oscars and Convicts seem to get along really well they swim around in there little group of four all day.

5ft at the moment, new 6ft tank is on its way, just have to set up the sump and all associates.

Ok cool, and how many do you have in there? You should put only max 3 in a 6fter and 2 in a 5fter...

Sounds like a great tank! As long as feeders are definitely parasite free and not going to make the oscars sick, it's up to you whether you want to feed them. I wouldn't but then again, I'm a veggie! I feed live locusts to the dragon though so go figure

It really depends on the other dimensions of the tank.

Just 2 Oscars, 2 sharks and 2 Convicts. Im happy with what I have now. I might just get a plecto.

yup and that feeder fish, but he is getting fed to a mates fish soon. Is that what is is a oranda?

Yes thats what it is......Your best of feeding your fish on quality pellets and frozen prawns/bloodworm/mussles etc..There is no need to feed goldfish or other "feeder fish" which could transmit diesease's and create big problems...If you do feed "feeder fish" then breed your own at home, that way you know where there coming from and diesease free :good:

There is no need for feeder fish mind, i have some true predatory fish and all eat pellets and frozen foods..I have fish that some people would say would not touch pellets and all are eating pellets just fine, even wild caught snakeheads i managed to get very quickly onto pellets...
