@GaryE I like your idea of combining the daphnia and tomatoes. Mrs. Badger wants to get more into these indoor hydroponic systems, but they seem like a waste to me because you can't access the water to put critters in them. So I've been lobbying to turn the Badgerling's 29g Apisto tank into a mini Inle biotope with some veggies growing on a floating island.
Using a hydroponic system to grow daphnia? Tell me more!
I'm trying to design an aquaponic system using 6 inch schedule 80 pipe for "pots". I have 4 pieces 20 ft long. Wanted to try corn but my koi don't give off enough nitrogen for that. trouble with corn here is getting enough water to stay where it is planted..... Built a new bed for the corn Researching the aquaponic idea for other crops.

I just heard the Mock Turtle song and found a whole Steely Dan Album I don't have. Of course it came out 3 years after my twins were born and I had quit buying music.... Thank you for sharing the link.

I have been watching the golden sailfin Molly fry (ocular albino) born on February 25. On their birthday I counted 34 fry. Today I count 33 fry. I have been feeding them live BBS, Ultra Fresh Newborn Fish and small chunks of Repashy. These guys are much easier to feed compared to my egg hatched fry. Of course they are much larger.

I wonder how many parents have those gaps in music? I'm a listening freak, but from the point my first child was born until my second daughter was about 5 was a wasteland for musical knowledge. I've gone back and explored with advice from younger friends and found a lot of talented, interesting artists I never heard when they were active. From 1990 to 2000 there were some really good bands. If you'd asked me about them at the time, I wouldn't have known who they were.

I'm always on the hunt for new music, new sounds and new artists to enjoy, and I'd like to say I was always like that, but those young kid years had me using my ears for different purposes.

As for the Steely Dan, I think a tuba section would improve it immensely. Then again, tastefully timed tuba solos improve almost everything.

I got my printer working & finished taxes except for the final check, maybe tomorrow. Thai take out soon & wine to celebrate!

I got another step forward with my little installation.

I have to set the current tank aside to be able to install my new stand at the same place, with the new tank on top. But it's done, with all corners screwed to the legs and solid shelves. Really changed the dynamic of the thing. Once fixed to the wall, I think it's going to be A1.

Electricity and air following soon. With probably some rubber door mat on the bottom shelf.

I like those swords. Is that how you euthanize sick fish? 😄

🤣, Not really both on the right are decorations...

But the one on the left has been bought at "Dupuis Frères" at the Montreal store in 1870 by my Grand-Father... It's a beautiful piece of art. While it doesn't show on the picture The pommel and guard is made with steel coated with silver and the scabbard tip and neck of bronze.

It shows a lot of sparring marks, and can see that he knew how to use them just from the wear on the forte and fullers.
