Are you going to rebuild it completely ?
Probably not. It was pretty messed up when I found it so there are pieces missing and stuff. Would be pretty hard

These are never easy... Try a light coat of nail finish on some hidden part, I used bleach to clean the bones, and see if you like what it does.

After a couple months is will get a yellowish color that makes them look really old.

I use peroxide to bleach skulls. It doesn't degrade the bones like bleach does, though it takes a bit longer.
Sometimes I feel like I'm listening in on a discussion with serial killers. But then I figure I haven't seen anyone on reality TV with a fishtank full of loaches behind them, and real serial killers seem to all be media stars. There's no show about fish quarantine called the first 48.

Today,

I removed the incandescent light and socket from an old Hagen Canopy and retrofitted a brand new AQQA, Multi-Function Fish Tank Led Light in.

I was lucky, It fits like a glove.

Just finished getting fallen leaves from last fall out of the outdoor tubs. And cut all excessive roots and stems of those pond plants in the outdoor tubs. Also scooped fallen leaves that were floating at the surface of my pool which I use for my fish.
We had a couple of springlike days. So, that was ideal to get some jobs done in the backyard. I've also cut some branches of one tree, a vine and some bushes. Got rid of most of the weed.

Keeping it weird. Happy to help. But in my own defense, he did ask.
How long should I have it sit in peroxide?
No idea. I've never bleached a turtle skeleton that is already heavily weathered. A fresh deer skull takes around 24 hours. Honestly, with how weathered your turtle already is, I would probably not worry about bleaching it, and just try to assemble it as is.

Went fishing and here are the results:

-2 lures
-2 quick snaps
-1 line
+3 bites
+2 Canadian geese possibly laughing at me
= 0 fish

LOL! Makes me think of me and a loon in Northern Ontario Canada. 12 of us were following the 750 mile route of the Hudson Bay explorers and were far enough ahead of schedule that we were just sort of coasting across a lake. I was trolling with a Rapala surface lure and got an extreme hit. I'm fighting the beastie when someone brings up something saying something like, "Jay, your line is going up, not down". A loon had taken my lure. I had pretty much no choice other than to just cut the line. If you don't know what a loon is they get their name from their call which sounds like a maniacal laugh.

If you don't know the beastie you should watch the following video. They are also swesome parents.

I swear that bird is in every horror movie set near a lake 😂

I promise my fish when I have hot water again I will do water changes. Asked my helper if he could install a hot water heater. We're getting there but tonight I have no running water at all. Unless I can figure a way to install a prewater heater valve. I do have a pipe cutter, I could probably do the soldering myself, I have the tools but the old pipe is just not accepting new solder under new fitting, doesn't want to heat, and I've been without hot water since friday morning. still a plumber I'd be spending at least $1200 on labor, and i already spent 600 buying the water heater..... Plus a plumber is going to tell me things about code that I already know and probably invent a few to try to run the bill up and if that doesn't work they usually manage to break something. Waiting til helper gets off day job tomorrow. I have a bid, an algae removing service call and my dog needs her eye looked at, that will keep me occupied. I spent the last hour of daylight putting in 2 short rows of sweet corn seed, 5 swiss chard seeds, some broccoli and squash seedlings, then scattered wildflower seed all over the bed, along with some basil seed, to hide the squash smell from the squash vine borers.
