I received a TXT from a friend saying "🐠📫🚪".

After thinking a little, I understood " There's a fish in my mailbox at the door".

Whaaaaaaaaattttttttttt.... I get to the entrance and open the door and what do I find...

A 5 gallons std non braced aquarium filled with stuff... Alright ! that is cool.

Brought that in, and checked what was there. Besides a fake reef, a shipwreck, a couple ugly plastic plants and yeah a human skull... Loll...

Everything I ever wanted for a setup

As expected there was no filtering media as it appears that someone did an upgrade and kept it.

But the tank itself is really top tier. ultra clear glass. Black steel framed bottom. The silicone job is absolutely perfect, straight and very clean.

Interesting bit, there's also an Aquaclear Junior 610 in the kit. First time I see that one. They are pretty different and filter water from left to right, with 3 vertical baskets. I'm curious to see how that goes, because the impeller and motor are huge on this thing.

I already have everything else to set it up... Except the space :( I might have to make a little 3 tier stand soon :)

Sounds like you are going to have a very busy day a head you

Post pictures when you get it setup and running

Don't hold your breath.

There's already a tank right where the projected "currently non existing rack" is going. So I have to move this one, install the new rack, move back the first tank, then... Setting up the new one on top.

But it might go faster, as I seem to have found the perfect little adjustable shelving with very close dimensions to what I need.

With good plywood shelf added on, Self tapping screws at each corner maintaining the shelves to the frame and anchored to the wall. It's pretty close to perfect. I gauged 70 pounds per tank and this is at least good for 250 lbs without casters.

Ooopssss... It's coming in tomorrow. I may be able to take advantage of one of my buddy to move that this weekend.

For 53$ it simply doesn't make sense to make a lumber rack that would probably cost more at the end.

Here we go again.

Today we got another call from the doctor. Apparently one of the tests Linda took has an unexpected result. She has now been scheduled for another mammogram Monday afternoon. We are not too concerned as yet because a cyst had been found there in the past. Hopefully that is all it is. She did not need this extra worry on top of the pain radiating through her back. That is improving though, and she has dropped the Oxy and is now using simple Tylenol to keep the edge off. She is napping now after a restless night. Her restless nights are my sleepless nights. 😩

Water changes on two tanks and observing the antics of the new rainbow fish were done first thing this morning. In a bit I will get the Striped Bass fishing rigs from storage. I plan on changing out the lines and servicing the reels tonight. This weekend my brother is coming over and we will head out to Schroon Lake for our annual ice fishing trip. He is big on ice fishing, and I join him once a year to his shanty on Schroon Lake. I am not that fond of ice fishing, but he is my brother so off we will go. We normally catch at least a couple of Lake Trout and several pike. We will also jig up a slew of perch for our spring poor man's shrimp fest. (Memorial Day weekend).

Promiscuous is an easy way to tell it.

If the water is perfect, overcrowding could become a problem. But not really... "gpm"s ... The Guppy, Platy, Molly "complex"

Live a super happy life even in large numbers in small tanks... They feel secure and love to parade all day like roosters at the mall...

As long as the the pretty water flows. You can have hundreds of them in really cramped area, and they don't seems to mind it at all. They sleep like logs everywhere and are a blast to keep.

My stupid no good Geo albios are breeding:

To breed Geophagus abalios, you need good source water, but also really skilled water management. It may be next to impossible to rehome their babies, but it takes skill to get them breeding. Well done!

And yeah, great to watch, but now what!??!

Well my geo ap alto bred a couple of weeks ago and i have their frys running around. Mother is very dilligent in guarding them against the larger geo that are 2x her size. My water is not blackwater but i think the ec is around 80; i keep the aquarium cleanish but the problem is i can't easily get anything out of it (it is 8ftx4ft floor) so rather they didn't breed :(

So spent the day upgrading my litlte 20 long:

ta-da - it actually mostly cleared a few hours later but i'll leave that picture for another year.

Your 20g ton of val tank looks almost like my 55g "river-ish" tank. I meant to weed it today but got sidetracked weeding my 75g. It had "skinny jungle val" that Excel mostly killed off or at least stunted hard. I thought I had removed the leftovers 4 years ago but 6 months ago they suddenly reappeared!! Just smaller plants yet, but they've been spreading across the front of the tank & getting taller. Several crypts came back too. I wasn't as surprised by them, I'd only removed BBA leaves, the roots were fine. I have seen a random leaf or 2 but now they're happier too.

So, what happened? I quit using Excel 2+? years ago, it eventually got rid of the BBA finally. My BN plecos bred (boo, lol) but only 5 fry survived & the female died. My friend will take them when I catch them. The sad news, I lost another very old bronze cory hidden behind plants. Not newly dead, eww! I may be the world's worst fertilizer, mostly root tabs when I do.

I have 20 Anomalochromis thomasi juveniles that were born Christmas Day. Today my lfs bought 10 of them for $3 per fish. If the cichlids are a hit and sell, the store will buy my remaining juveniles.

Here is a typical juvenile
