What are you doing today?

I had to drink a smoothie for breakfast cause of my sore... But I'm still gonna eat that left over pizza! Nothing will stop me from that! Unless my brother eats it before me :sly:. I can only talk with a weird slur as well, otherwise it hurts.
Funny story to go along with that, there is this show in the U.S called "The Middle" and its about this average middle class family that doesn't seem to have much luck.
Well there is this jerk teen named "Axl" so I said jokingly to my mom (she knew I was joking as well and laughed), "Oh don't be an Axl"... Well it came out really wrong cause with my "slurred" speech it sounded like "Oh don't be an a******"
It took me a few moments to realize what I said came out REALLY wrong and I don't curse. My mom and I just bursted out laughing 🤣🤣

I meant "jerk teen" not "jersey teen" autocorrect!

Right outside our home!

Thought today was going too smoothly....just discovered that the lower plate basket/rack on my dishwasher has started to not only go rusty but lost some of the prong thingies that keep the plates in place....
Aren't the insides of dishwashers made of stainless steel?
If yes, how did it rust?

take a vitamin mineral supplement twice a day for 2 weeks and see if it helps get rid of them.
I've been taking vitamins daily for a bit now. My mom wanted us to start taking them.
But the one that REALLY hurts is behind my back molar and I'm thinking it could actually be my wisdom teeth... Ouch
But the one on my lip is a canker sore

been there, done that, you couldn't help :(

what's a good 24 inch computer monitor to get, or a tv that I can plug the computer into?

I asked for a Panasonic and got a Samsung and my previous was a Dell, both fupling useless.
Had to back and look at was posted on my site. Obviously a hardware problem but there are many possibilities which is why I suggested taking to a local shop to get it checked.

As long as the system has an HDMI output you could use just about any HDTV. As to true monitors I have an Asus monitor connected to my Asus laptop. Been using for probably 7+ years without issue.

My old dog became very ill in the night, and I didn't get much sleep. I took her to the vet this morning, fearing the worst because of her age, but she'll live to fight another day. Antibiotics are wonderful things.

Actually, "fight" is the wrong word. The other day a deer walked by her, maybe 15 steps away, and she just sort of grinned at it. She's a live and let live type - when she does bother to chase deer it's to play with them - with slow running and lots of leaping around. The local herd keeps an eye on her, but they've accepted her as harmless.

So I get more time with my english cream golden retainer. This is good. She was a 9 year old kennel breeder when we brought her home from a shelter, and 5 years along, maybe she'll make it to next summer and finally learn how to swim and fetch. The instincts are there, but it takes time for a mistreated dog to learn how to properly dog.

Just reading the latest...and most unusual...statement released from Buckingham Palace within the last hour

A statement from Buckingham Palace

Published 8 September 2022

Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.

The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.

That statement along with Charles, Camilla and William all on their way to Balmoral, is very concerning

I am not a Royalist exactly but I do appreciate the way the Queen has worked hard for this country, often in very difficult situations and circumstances.

Losing Philip last year seems to have aged her so very fast, she has become very frail in recent months...and the real possibility that she might not be around for much longer is something that cannot be ignored anymore.

As someone who has only known her as being the Monarch, it will be very hard to adjust to her not being there. Seventy years as Monarch is a lifetime for so many and to have reached 96 and still managing her daily duties is remarkable.

Hopefully this latest health scare is just that..a scare....but I am not so sure this time. Everyone knows that the time was coming but hopefully not yet.....she is a strong willed woman and a fighter

Hoping she will regain her strength this time around like she has in the past.

I can't imagine the world without Queen Elizabeth. She has been the perfect example of royalty. This is what a royal is. Harry and his wife should look at this and say why don't we act like that. Andrew should be appalled at how he has behaved, he is not a good royal. Charles is pretty good and William is a good royal and a worthy aire to the throne, but I hope it doesn't happen for a long time.

Whether Queen Elizabeth is suffering the side effects of covid that she caught a few months ago, or she is dying from a broken heart due to Philip dying, I don't know. All I know is the world will not be a better place when she passes. It will be a horrible day and one I don't particularly want to see.

Get well Elizabeth, get well soon and keep showing the world what a real royal is.

What did I do today?
Killed bugs. Cleaned up dead bugs. Lost the plot when more bugs landed on my stuff straight after I cleaned it. Did my nut because of the bugs and the neighbours heard. I apologised to one tonight. Called the suicide help line because the bugs are doing my head in.

Tried to get a new Medicare card because mine was stolen when I was on the street. Turns out when you are thrown out of your home and left to die on the street by an incompetent judicial system, they delete all your details from the government systems and I am no longer on the gov data base and don't have a Medicare card.

Tried to get a doctor to prescribe me some medication over the phone. Nothing fancy, just some toenail fungus treatment. No chance. Asked the same doctor's office why my medical records weren't being sent to other doctors that had requested them even though I had signed a consent form for them to be transferred across. I also asked why my medical records weren't on the national data base so any doctor or hospital could look up the details using my Medicare number. I was told the senior nurse/ receptionist will call me back and let me know what is going on with my records. Nobody has called.

Cleaned the inside of the car and mopped the floor in the unit. I am going shopping tomorrow to swap the stuffed monitor and try to find something to blow up the fupling bugs with.

I'm kind of hoping Charles will eventually finish off the relic that's the monarchy in Canada. What England does is not my business, but ditching the royal celebrity culture would be a good thing here. I'll be keeping an eye on the news as this story unfolds. These stories are never good on a human level, but hereditary monarchies follow these patterns of change.

Every seemingly simple home repair I do here seems to slip into the pattern of fixing the handwork of a drinking man. The previous owner had issues, but they sure didn't stop him from hammering things into place impatiently. It's a good thing he didn't have tanks or he'd have used to a hammer to make those suction cups work.
