I have been awake for nearly 36 hours straight. Body is tired but mind is staying up.

My new (1 month old) computer monitor has crapped itself. There are lots of fine grey lines all over the screen.

I got 4 computers and the only one that works properly is my Pentium 4 I bought 20 years ago but it runs Win XP and can't surf the net. I have 2 new monitors here and both have pooped themself in a matter of months and the only monitor that works is my 20 year old LCD flat screen thing that heats up the room.

I killed a heap of bugs today just sitting in my chair trying to sleep.

Brain not good. Brain need sleep or body fall down and can't get up.

what about the warranty?

I will take the monitor back next week when I go shopping and see if the shop changes it under warranty, but who knows, if it's like my craptop computer, they will tell me to get stuffed. In which case, I go off the deep end, get arrested and spend some time in prison.

you might try using a new monitor cable with it.

I am using the new cables that came with the monitor. It's a dodgy monitor, like most crap made in China.

And just to top everything off, my phone battery has gone and doesn't hold a charge. Optus X Power 2 mobile phone is a bucket of crap. So is Optus for that matter. If I'm not online for a while, it's because the phone doesn't work, I use it for my modem.

As to the new monitor you may find that the store will do nothing after 30 days. You may well have to deal with the manufacturer.

As to that old Pentium 4 system you may want to consider replacing Windows with a lite version of Linux. People still thank that Linux is only for geeks but the newer versions are almost like using Windows.
