Tina's Twin Bommies

Excellent, they do close up at night as well and they close up a couple of days after you feed them as well to do a poop

The clowns are not yet taking an interest in the Nem, matt suggested showing them a video of hosting clowns on my computer, err not sure about that.

The Torch will eventually go on the right bommie where there is an Asraea snail ATM.

Have you noticed the subtle changes??

wow wow wow

that must be amazing to see in the flesh! looks amazing! breathtaking!

Just look at that lovely leather

Very nice pictures and new stock. I don't think the nem is a BTA though... My first guess was a Ritteri (spelling), but you can get Malus that colour. Malus that are healthy in colour are hard to come by mind, usually appearing pure white after bleaching, but brown is most common if you get them settled and coloured up correctly. My Cream one was actually hard to come by when healthily coloured, and are one of the most light demanding colour forms of Malu. Browns are less light demanding, but not a low-light nem by any means... What colour is that nems foot and shaft?

Love those Torches

All the best
Rabbut

Foot and shaft looks a creamy colour Rabutt. The centre tentacles do seem to swell like a BTA though.

It has taken a quarter of a raw King Prawn tonight, I believe it was just eating mysis and Brine Shrimp in the shop. Seffies favourite nem site says to give them a good feed when you get them as they will not have fed properley before. It is still a little folded from taking the prawn but is expanding once again.

The tentacles Rabutt are also translucent with similar markings on that you see on bubble corals and BTA's, I thought the tentacles on Malus were more opaque??

i reckon it will be easier to tell once its settled more, im not sure you lighting would be enough if it was to turn out a malu though. Saw one sat right in the top[ corner of a tank stretching for more light - under 250w halides

Pics looking good as always, nice TORCH :)

The lighting is the reason I don't think its a Malu. It had less lighting than I have in the shop and it doubled in size in 4-6 weeks. Its happily chilling where it is and not stretching for more light at all.

I even checked the lighting with Matt at Fishworld before I bought it. That was what I was worried about. It only had 3 T5 tubes and 2 were blue.

I do like the Torch, I will be growing them on a little before I decide which half I am keeping then the other will be up for swapsies if anyone is interested. Ideally would like Euphyllia that I don't have in return or something else I really like.

this pic says BTA to me - i aint no expert tho

but near the mouth some tenticles seem to have the bubble. And some are really quite chunky like they are about to get it

Nem has not moved at all and is not stretching for light at all.

If it was a Malu or Ritteri, surely with my lighting it would be climbing the rocks to get to more light. The foot is wedged underneath the rock and secured to rock, another reason for thinking its not a malu.

Strange anyway.

Hope you like piccies.
