Got some piccies for you.

First is the sump, the mods have been done so that the protein skimmer is now working correctly.

I have as you can see made an acrylic box for my copepod culture. Fed the old culture to the tank, the copepod food I am using does not need to be as heavy stained as if using just phyto.

Have started a new culture off today in my nice shiny acrylic box with lid that I made myself last night.



I fed new era omnivore granules last night, the corals seem to like them.

Tina that picture on fisherman's frags looks like a torch hope the coral you actually get is a frogspawn - I love the colour, it's the same as my hammer

It does a bit your right seffie. It is the colour of the one in my LFS, thats why I went for it. Never seen a Torch that colour though. If it is a Torch in those colours, I would be even happier, that would be rarer colour form. It is the same as my hammer too, I have a place planned for it already, just need to find out when it will be delivered.

Buddyboy, at the moment I am very very pleased with the New Era, it mushes together like putty that can be stuck onto a rock for slower eaters like the Mandarin. It does not discolour the water at all and does not break down easily like some foods. Everything in the tank seems to love it and apparetly it is a very good food for auto feeders. I would highly recommend buying some from the internet and trying it. Most shops that stock marine by me stock new era food. It is a little more expensive but it seems to be worth it.

HI Tina, you seem to be the internet queen for ordering online

Bascially the wife forgot our wedding anniversary today, I know its great I will be able to remind her of this for years to come, and basically she said she will byuy me a nice new coral. To cut a long story short, is the mail order coral website any good for delievies etc. Have a couple of ideas but will research tonight (sun coral, candy cane, wild australian duncan frag or the hairy mushroom on ebaY).

I have not yet ordered from mail order corals, lots on here have though, Big C recommended it to me and I would have been happy to buy from them had they had what I wanted.

I bought my Duncan online, much cheaper than an LFS for that coral.

First time ordering from Fishmans Frags, will let you know what they are like when I have the coral, I should have emailed them with my delivery day, thats my fault.

Reefstock is very good, very well packaged.

You lucky swine, will be my birthday next month though, will get pressies then.

I don't usually get a present for anniversary only birthday (that was Wallace & grommit) but she feels sooooo guilty, so might as well see what I can get. The guilt is usually on the other foot

I did notice that fisherman frag & mail order do 5 frags for £50, but they chose. Not too sure if I like this ida because there is no research involved & then playing catch up...

Isn't the frishmans frag one SPS. I don't think you have lighting for SPS do you?

The mail order corals one does not look too bad, not sure if they put any SPS in though.

I have got the Orca lighting. I will have to check to see ifs OK for SPS.

Bagu I think it is liking the new flow from the new powerheads, it does seem bigger.

Had a mare with APC. Fishmans frags have been amazing, spoke to chris there today. My frogspawn was sent out for yesterday as requested by me. Normally APC are here once a month for medication deliveries and I now know the driver and stop for a chat when he comes. He must be on holiday as they took my parcel back saying could not find address. The dog had managed to disconnect my phone line aswell. APC then told FMF that they had spoken to me yesterday afternoon (they had not) and I would be collecting, which being unable to drive due to being disabled and living in the middle of nowhere, I seriously doubt I would ever have said that.

FMF have said if it does not arrive today to let them know and they will send me a new one next week, if it does arrive today it might be ok it may be DOA.

APC are imbeciles, Fishmans Frags are fantastic, cannot fault them.
