cheek! the standard lights on the golf are crap so they had to be changed and I like the grill so grrrr.

being lowered this weekend and that will be it for mods really, apart from maybe a new exhaust.

Everything is wrong with people spending all their money on keeping other people awake listening to their awful music blaring at over 130 decibels.

Especially when you can hear it for 5 minutes before some crappy little golf or saxo comes past to the tune of boom...boom...bom booom.

I have a stereo to listen to my music, not someone elses...

Quality of sound is ok, hence I have a good system of an 8" sub behind each seat and some fairly good quality component speakers run off a 1200W amp, but with the door closed, you can still barely hear the music.

Genisis comps up front and the 12" audiobahn in the back - and its always turned down when in build up areas (i even turn the base down when I'm listening to it loud.... (I'm getting old you see )

ahem, a golf is not in the same circle as chavs with escorts, novas and such like.

There's no harm in making a car look nice and your sound system is bigger than mine it seems so I have a 70 squid kenwood head unit, 1000w shark amp, 400w pioneer sub and a set of kenwood 10x7's on the parcelshelf which gives me a nice crisp sound.

Golfs are so in the same class as Escorts, Saxos, Novas, Corsas and the lot. Especially M reg 8v GTi drivers who seem to think the new spoiler and tints makes them faster than anything on the road...

And you should see what the muppets do to their cars round here...It seems to be cool you have to make it look like something pininfarina would vomit up after a bad day out with a professional drinking team...

You must live in a completely different Colchester to the one I grew up in where most of the Golf drivers put neons on their car, filled the car with subs and thought they could race Ferraris due to them having tinted windows.

When I was there a few weeks ago nothing had changed.
