Fluval Vicenza 180

New plants are in, what a difference! Its definately finished it off nicely! Just got a few small crypts to add back in and its complete.

No idea what all the plants are, but they're worth the money for sure!

Will get some pics up later and will also need some identifications of the plants.

lols, hopefully your ids will help me id mine too, im sure we got a mix of the same :D

sounds great! :D

Yeah I reckon we will have done. Suprised how much there was. Did you get 2 bags? I didnt.

Only the one bag mate, mostly stem plants which is fine for me as i want stuff that will grow tall.

Yeah mine was too. Great value for money really. Was considering ordering another bag, but unsure now as my tank is looking pretty decent-ish already. Plus when they have grown a little it should look better. May try and source some different Crypts if i need to.

I was going to grab some Sagittaria as i've got a perfect little spot for it. I'll get this lot planted up first and get this next week i think. I dont mind the plants being a little spread out, im just trying different things to see what grows really.

Their ebay shop is pretty decent. If i notice anything that don't seem to be doing very well then i will move it to my higher tech 55 litre setup.

Just trying to decide whether i should cut the lighting period from 8 hours to 7?! :/

im only on 6 in my big tank, i planned to build it up to 8 over the course of the next few months.

if things dont do well in there i tend to chuck em in the 90 litre so see if they cope better with no co2 and lower light/ferts. then bin em :D

Bin em, lmfao!!!!!!!!! Haven't got the balls to do CO2 yet, but am considering some basic fertiliser for this tank now... ?? Any thoughts?

pfft not really, i gone down the TPN+ route but i cant say i can see any difference with that than i could the Easylife Profito i was using before hand. I've been mixing in profito and TPN+ for the last two weeks and my vallis has burst into life again like it did before on the profito so im thinking i might just use that stuff again or keep mixing.

That said, LP did give me some info on dry ferts for daily dosing which looks interesting so might have a crack at that. Certainly looks cheaper.

What about this Fertiliser

TPN+ has done nothing for my Vallis, infact it made it look a bit sick. But then again it hasn't grown that good in my 180 under T5's. When under T8's it was rampant

This is the one Tizer, http://www.aquariumplantfood.co.uk/fertilisers/dry-chemicals/starter-kit/ei-starter-kit.html

I have been using this for nearly a month i think and its cost me about £1.50 instead of silly money !

Seems to be working fine for the plants.
