Ammonia Levels High

Thats too bad, and kind of ironic that a fish drowned.

-FHM

 thats bad but funny

after 2 changes
ammonia: .25pmm(i think)
nitrites: opmm

should i do 1 more w/c to try and get some nitrite readings
The only thing that is going to get you a NitrIte reading is the ammonia be converted by the bacteria to nitrite.

So, once the bacteria starts to colonize in your filter, you will start to get nitrite readings.

Are you still using ammolock?

If you are, I would say stop using it, as it seems like you can keep your ammonia level down close to .25 ppm.

well its definitly ammonia .25pmm i did do 1 more w/c and that was my reading

so now i will keep doing what ive been doing but with less w/c's yay! but i'll see how it goes :good:

after 2 cycles

ammonia: .25pmm
nitrites: 0pmm

its getting easier and less w/c's yay

Nice, well hopefully you will start to see nitrite soon! :hyper:

When you start to see nitrite, you will be nearing the half way mark!

Fish-in cycle = a lot of water changes...lol.

Hows it going today?

im currently doing my 2nd w/c for the day, im all out of ammolock so i found this

"water ager acn" its an INSTANT CHLORINE, CHLORAMINE, AMMONIA AND HEAVY METAL NEUTRALIZER + SLIME COAT

dont know who makes it but its distributed byBiotec Restoration PL

Yup, a water conditioner is all you need to add to your tank, everything else is irrelevant, unless it is a med or something.
