    Leaking Eheim Pro 3

With my leaky Eheim, I have placed in a washing up bowl and have lubricated the seals the impellor seal does look perished so I ordered a new set from ebay which have now arrived. Lubricating the seals has slowed the leak but not cured it, so will fit new seals asap. Just dealing with another...

    Leaking Eheim Pro 3

Mmm, that doesn't sound too promising I would think it is more likely the seal around the impellor as the water is getting into the corners as was yours. Only problem is finding somewhere with one in stock ASAP. :S Not too impressed with Eheim I thought they were high quality products but...

    Can You Over Filter?

IMHO you cannot over filter but you can have too much water flow depending on stock. I have a Fluval 305 on a 90 litre running at full whack, but then I have 10 Juvie Tropheus in there and they can be rather messy especially with lettuce.

    Help?

Externals especially the Fluvals are very easy & cheap to maintain. They come with all necessary media and the only media that needs changing regulary if you choose to use it (many don't) is the carbon, you could just add some more bio media and/or use filter wool which is dirt cheap on ebay (5...

New Filters - Why So Noisy?!

If its an external it will more than likely settle down in a day or two. As said probably trapped air.

    Help?

You must of spent a fair chunk of the cash that could of gone on the much needed external filter on even more fish :S Something like the Fluval 105 (under £60) running along side your current internal would improve things considerably along with weekly water changes of 25-30%. You better...

    Roma 240 Cabinet

I've had a Roma 240 for just over a year now and it's been great. I have also had to add handles to the doors as they became difficult to open without. I have never had the dripping problem and find the Fluval filter to be great although I have added a Eheim Pro III 350 to increase...

    Do Multies Like Flow?

Yes Multi's do enjoy good water flow. I have 2 external filters in my 240 L which creates quite a lot of movement but this never seems to bother them, even the fry seem to cope OK.

    White Spots On Tropheus

I have a problem with some of my Tropheus, some have large white spots almost the size of a match head and they stick out from the fishes bodies. The fish otherwise seem fine and are eating well. All water parameters are fine Nitrite = 0 Ammonia =0 Nitrate <10 PH 7.8 I do a 20% water change...

    Shell Dwellers- Multies

I would think that would be fine for 3-4 Mulit's but I would get more so you can make several clusters of shells so they can choose where they want to be, or you can go for the natural look and get enough to cover the whole tank bottom to a depth of 2-3 shells high. have you visited...

    Shell Dwellers- Multies

I'll have to see if any survive yet, they are really tiny at the moment and they are kept with my Tropheus & leleupi with 75kg of ocean rock so catching them wont be easy. I have about 4 free swimming and more still in shells and I think may have more fry in another group of shells from my...

    Shell Dwellers- Multies

Yes you are right the Gold shellies can only be kept in a pair or group of three (2 females & 1 male I believe), so rethink time on this one, may setup a tank just for Multies. Anyway I have some good news my Multies have spawned and I have babies, so I am a proud daddy :hyper:
