Thanks for that. What do you think is the best course of action with the plants rooted in the gravel. Are they best removed and replanted later. Also the tank substrate is two and a half inches of gravel which obviously weighs quite a bit, do you think it will be okay to remove this during the move.

Danios are really bad for getting themselves caught in tight places. I had 7 zebras which were always chasing each other round the tank. I lost 2 in about 2 months due to them getting wedged into this rock which had loads of holes in it. It was a great place for fry to hide out but a graveyard...

He's very handsome, how many did you get from the brood? Can I also ask what the male female split was? Anyway with such pretty fish I'm sure someone closer to you will give him a good home.

All mollies get along as such but you can get a bit of argo if you have too many males and not enough females. If you're going to mix the sexes have 3 females for every male. Playts are great with mollies too, they've got a really peaceful nature.

Yeah guppies are absolute savages for food. But if you have a male guppy (do you?) I'd be very surprised if she's not preggers. If you've had her for 10 weeks and she's not dropped and there's no male present then it's time for WeightWatchers. :lol:

If you brought the female guppies back you could get some more danios to keep her company. Honestly she'll be som much happier in a little shoal. :)

Fair enough, keep an eye or your water tests though because you've upped the "crap factor" big time. Also don't know about keeping just 1 danio, they really like company, how long have you had him?

Sory for your loss bud, it's a sad day alright but you just have to learn from these things and move on. I wouldn't worry about fin rot remaining in the tank your were cycling, if you've added the Interpet product. If I were you I'd oncentrate on getting the fishless cycling in your new tank...

Okay thanks anyway. I always give my fish a viking funeral. There's a little stream by my house, I build a raft (an egg box works well) and sail them off to ValHalla!

So are the patterned varieties more sensitive. My tanks well cycled, it's up and running about 6 months but I'm still relatively new to the game so I don't want anything too tricky. Can't stand funerals!

Just a quick one, how many Corys do you need to keep for them to be happy. If more than one should it be all males/females or a combo? Also what type of Corys would you recommend to live with livebearers, they don't eat fry do they? :unsure:
