I just watched one of my female guppies give birth. Even though I've had fry before I've never seen it happen live from the goal end. That was so cool and I know now why I keep fish, to come home after another stressful day at work and then see something like that is food for the soul. I'm lovin livebearers.

On the flip side, I'm gonna need a bigger tank! :D

nothing better than having fry, shows your tank is in perfect condition for breeding :good:

On that note, will fish only breed if the conditions in the tank are perfect. Even though my water tests are always perfect I am slightly paranoid when it comes to water conditions

I know exactly how you feel. TWO of my fish are literally giving birth as i type this . How on earth they both managed to give birth at the same time I will never know . . I think My red Guppy started a while ago though as I spotted some babies in the Plants . I managed to save Three of them ( although there could be more hiding ) . She is now giving birth in the Birthing trap .

The other one giving birth as we speak is my Orange Balloon Molly . She has also had three so far and still going by the looks of it .. I have it on film . I will upload it when i get the chance . . I Didn't even know she was Pregnant as there was NO obvious Gravid spot .I just happened to glance in my tank as i was walking past and saw this really pretty Baby and wondered where on earth it came from as it wasn't as small as normal Fry . The i saw the mother and she was in the middle of giving birth as the frys tail was half out ..

I think i may need to buy another tank soon as my Platy only gave birth a few days ago one of my mollys had 30 fry nearly two weeks ago .I also have TWO other guppys that are near their drop day and I think my dalmation molly is also pregnant , although its hard to tell with her as i can't see a spot , She does seem to be getting bigger and bigger every day ..

I have set up a smaller tank for all the fry that i seem to be having I just hope its big enough for ALL of them

What on earth am i going to do with all these babies .. lol lol lol lol
