When I had this problem I used a product called clout and it worked great. The price is a little high at around $25 usd for a bottle but it comes with 100 tablets that treat 10 Us gallons each. Its also clears up ich and parasites. Hope this helps you out. -Alex

I saw in another thread that you only have them in a 10 gal which is probably another one of your problems. Convicts need plenty of space to swim as well as hiding spots. I would say a 20 gal at the very least might be ok for the 2 parents then put the fry into the 10. I would start looking...

Walmart has 55gal setups pretty cheap i think, youd just need to upgrade the filter. petco has the tank only for $109 i think. Winter is almost here so grab yourself a snow shovel and make some money!

This is all correct. The 20 parts water to 1 part bleach works great. Do NOT boil or bake the rocks although it might be a good idea to pour boiling water over the rocks as this will steralize them better then just rinsing with water but will not get the core of the rock hot.

Ive told you pretty much what I know so im sorry it hasnt been to helpful. It was actually given to me by a lady that couldnt keep her tank anymore. Its not yellow but more of a dark orange. As far as his nose and growth im not sure as I dont see him much but he seems about the same size.

You should be fine as long as they dont sit in there for long periods of time because rubber will rot and could cause problems.
