    Start Fresh

Firstly the crabs, need source of air and keeping them under that underwater habitat won't be good for them & roaming around the tank will be even worse for your fish... 2 options - keep the 10 gals for the crabs,i may be wrong but i do think that they need slightely brackish water (salty).not...

    Hi

Insults were not intended, but when peeps see incompatible fish in a small tank it makes them see red.We all learn the hard way, some more than others, unfortunately you happen to trust and listen to an lfs,i'm surprised your fish survived this far... The best advise given is to return the fish...

    This Might Seem Stupid...

has mentioned w/c are not necessary during a fishless cycle unless problems occur... Too much ammonia above 5ppm will cause the wrong bacteria to grow,a stalled cycle is where the ph drops below 6. both these may be remedied with w/c's. But if alls well leave alone & you dont need to worry...

When A Cory Loses Its Barble...

+1 Waterchanges, keep the sand clean and water quality good, they should slowly grow back, has long has there's no redness around the barbel ends/mouth they should be ok :)

    Good Tankmates For Cory?

Yep Harleys are a good choice, mine are very placid,or even the smaller version like the Galaxy rasboras, would look good in a large shoal :) I also have ember tetras in my smaller cory tank and they're fine :)
  12. Harlequins

    Hi

Hi & welcome :) Basically your tank inmates are no-where near compatible or suitable all together for a 10 gal tank......... Fish stays in,remove water from the tank with a hose or gravel cleaner, then replace with fresh dechlorinated water. But my advise would be to sort out your stocking first.

Are These Corydoras Eggs Or Snail Eggs

Basically the smaller skinny ones are probably the males, chubby ones the females :) Its more than likely the eggs would have been munched,if they've spawned once, they probably will again :good: Have a read here at my Albino spawning log, shows eggs/t position & fry :) Good luck :good:

    Cory Mouth Infection?

Bit harsh ehh Tizer  Fish are awe - Has your cory still got fungal type on its mouth?? Unless you treat it,it'll get worse until the cory dies... If it is fungus, try separating it and treating it with an anti fungal treatment, interpet does one of these. Do regular waterchanges to...

    Ph Too High?

8.2 is fine for most fish,no need to lower it unless your fish are unhappy. A stable ph is better than one that fluctuates up & down, which would be what happens if you put anything in there to lower it.

    Eye Change In Breeding!

    Fry Food.

I've used liquidfry products on livebearers & corys in the past, but personally i find they pollute the water quickly, they're ok for emergency for the first few days with tiny fry. I've also try firstbites, again does build a scum up around the tank, the best i've found & i personally use for my...
