New Face Lift And Planted Some Live Plants

I like! Can you post the before picture as welll? It is always good to add root tabs, especially for those swords you have. The other, they'd prefer trace elements fertilizers :)

Found A Dead Cherry Shrimp :(

Can't find any source near my place for calcium and iodide..   I've been told to use a dr turtle slow release calcium block, wondering what it can do to my fish..   http://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-Laboratories-SZMMD11-Slow-Release/dp/B0061TC8C2

Help! One Of My Rummynose Is Weird!

Yeah exactly! I've been too impatient and immediately brought the fish in my main tank, it was fishless before so... :/   I'll continue as I mentionned earlier.. My fish seem to settle quite well now, less and less white spots, I'm hoping I'll win the battle :)

    Guppies Dying

Ouch. Bio start is most likely not going to succeed at anything except getting money from you.   Like Berry said, your tank is not cycled, making your fish sick, killing it. The best way to cycle a tank, is to do a fishless cycle, but since you already have fish, I suggest you do like she said...

    Who's The Culprit?!?

It can actually be both of them, as everyone else mentioned. Rasboras need to be at least 6, Guppies like to be the prettiest.

    Missing Ghost Shrimp

Shrimp are bottom of the food chain, you are taking a risk in putting them in the same tank than larger fish. You must be prepared of losing some of them to your fish. I've found my fish to eat everything, even when they are not hungry. You should see them having a go at sinking wafers! XD

Help! One Of My Rummynose Is Weird!

Yes he's in the same tank, and the three tetras I identified as infectious are showing more and more white spots on them.. I'm worrying this treatment might not be working..   I don't see any new infected fish tho but it might just be a matter of time..    I'll do a large water change tomorrow...

I agree about the dwarf gourami eating shrimp. My betta ate shrimp a few times already, and it's smaller than a dwarf gourami

Advice For Keeping Cat Off Fish Tank

    Missing Ghost Shrimp

They would not. The only time they'd eat them, is if they are already dying. Ghost shrimp are masters at disguising.

Found A Dead Cherry Shrimp :(

It was half dark, with a white streak going horizontally through her body. I think she failed her moulting..   I had a few shrimp moulting successfully already in there, including my bamboo shrimp.   I saw at a few places that I should give my shrimp some calcium and iodine to facilitate their...

    Anubias Nana Petite, Golden?

Thanks for your answer, I am spending about 60$ on this so I need to make sure I'm getting what I need! :P Do you know if the "golden" variety would grow as well in low light conditions?   Thanks :)

    New Filter

What I did when I switched filters seemed to have worked really well: I have took all the media from my old internal filter and fitted it in my aquaclear 50, I made sure that the biomass was also in there :) It did cause a mini cycle but that might have been because I also changed all the gravel...

    My Round?

Hello and welcome! First of all I hope your tank is cycled!   You can read this: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/421488-cycling-your-new-fresh-water-tank-read-this-first/   It is really important to do this as your fish will have a lot of problems!   I am glad you subscribed here...

    Anubias Nana Petite, Golden?

I have recently contacted my LFS to place an order for anubias nana "petite" and the guy told me about the Anubias Nana Petite, golden.. I have never seen, and can't find any info online about such plant. I'm wondering, would they be confusing the simple anubia nana with the "petite"?   Cheers!

    Filter Flow...

I think that the faster the water circulates in the filter, the better filtration you are going to have. It doesn't take long for the filter to do it's job.   Flow adjustment is there mostly to configure for various fish who would prefer a slower flow.   Not sure about all of this tho as I'm...

Bamboo Shrimp All Turn Red. Why?

It's perfectly normal for a bamboo shrimp to turn red! Sometimes I mistake mine for a giant cherry! It's been red since I started feeding pellets to my cherries, maybe it's eating a few of the granules as well! :P

    Filter Flow...

I prefer having slow flow as my fish don't like having a lot of current in the tank.

Help! One Of My Rummynose Is Weird!

Thank you :) I have learned that the sooner you diagnose a disease, the higher your success rate is. Help! One Of My Rummynose Is Weird!

He was not pineconing no He did look a bit fat on the picture but not in front of me, perfectly normal.
