Hi all - Total newbie, got a Juwel vision180 for the wifes birthday and have 16 fish in there today.
Soooo much to learn.
All looking good so far.
Local dealer is literally only around the corner so will be gleaning advice and info from that source initially, but having found this wonderful site, saved it into My Favourites and so here I am.
Hope you don't get fed up of my daft questions too soon.
Will search as much as I can prior to asking....... so much reading to do.
Ideal tank temp?

It is really important to do this as your fish will have a lot of problems!
 
I am glad you subscribed here because, you'll learn that the info your LFS (local fish store) tells you has to be taken with a grain of salt.
They will give you wrong info about 50%+ of the time. I have been fooled many times and have learned it the hard way!

tropical fish is what we're at.
Goldfish is all I've ever had before as a kid, many, many, many years ago!
Knowledge is poor - have to admit.
Willing to learn, but already daunted / confused by your link.
WOW!
Dealer set us up with tank dechlorinated with capful (5ml?) of dechlorinator.
Put about 8 live plants in and left for three days.
Then put 10 'strong' fish in that are alleged to help set the tank up?
Today put another 6 in too, dealer tested water and was okay, so looks good.
Don't ask me what fish they are as they weren't our choice, just fish chosen by the dealer that would do the job of The Marines going in first!
Looking to choose and introduce  'Discus' (?) fish in the new year as our own choice, but tank not ready for many weeks yet for them according to dealer.
Had temperature at 23 degrees and noticed today that dealers tanks were 27 degrees, so upped ours a little, now at 26.
Live plants are being vandalised by our residents, they're hooligans in there.  There are bits floating all round the tank and going into the filter.
Feeding them very little, twice daily and the little buggers  go wild!!
Am a firm believer in reading instructions.
Gratefeul for any advice given, ready to listen and learn, but already find the link you gave as a little daunting.
Don't wanna cause any uneccessary suffering for the little fellas and girls though, I recognise they rely on our input totally, my responsibility.

another question....
Got a decorative, air bubble, opening clam and have it set to give just a little bubbles about twice a minute.
Does the tank need air bubbles to be constantly flowing? 
Should I set up another pipe simply to allow constant flow of bubbles from floor base?  Needed at all?

Well it is really hard for me to tell you if you are doing it right or not..
Best thing would be to take a picture of your tank maybe?

If you don't know what type of fish you have, it would be best for you to upload some pictures of each and we can hopefully help identify them for you (you can upload pictures to a photohosting website like photobucket and then post the IMG code here).
 
Without knowing what type of fish you have we cannot help you with what temperature you should set your tank to, sorry.
 
Unfortunately, your tank is not cycled. If you read that link that l_l_l provided you with, you should have an idea of what cycling is. Have a read of THIS and THIS link.
 
Getting a liquid test kit would be your best bet at the moment, a common one is the API freshwater master test kit, it tests for all of the necessary things in an ordinary aquarium. If you can get this or a similar one then that will help you a lot!
Read THIS link about fish-in cycling, which is what you're doing right now. Do daily water changes of 70% until you get your test kit, once you have that then post your pH here and we will tell you what the level of ammonia/nitrite can be until you have to do a waterchange.
 
Before you get anymore fish, make sure to do your research extensively before you purchase them. Don't listen to your LFS, as they have already proved that they are only trying to get your money and they probably don't have the best interests of the fish at heart.
Please hold off on getting your discus, they are sensitive fish that even experienced fish keepers can struggle to keep alive.
 
In relation to your question about the bubbler, no they do not need to be going all the time, in fact, in most tanks bubblers aren't even needed, most are purely for aesthetics. As long as your filter is creating movement on the surface of the water, the bubbler isn't needed, unless you want it for decoration purposes
