So i can adjust the flow on my filter as i'd guess that most people can, but my question is simple really, what is better, the water to go through the filter quickly and out quickly, or in slower and out slower? Could you please give reasonings for both, if possible!

Thanks.

Also added a poll, for those that don't really want to post.

I prefer having slow flow as my fish don't like having a lot of current in the tank.

Does it actually do anything to the filtration, I'm somehow under the impression that if water goes in slower, and comes out slower it means the water is in the filter longer therefor it collects more "bad stuff" from the water.... is that nonsense?

I think that the faster the water circulates in the filter, the better filtration you are going to have.
It doesn't take long for the filter to do it's job.

Flow adjustment is there mostly to configure for various fish who would prefer a slower flow.

Not sure about all of this tho as I'm stil new to this.
