Found A Dead Cherry Shrimp :(

It was half dark, with a white streak going horizontally through her body.
I think she failed her moulting..
 
I had a few shrimp moulting successfully already in there, including my bamboo shrimp.
 
I saw at a few places that I should give my shrimp some calcium and iodine to facilitate their moulting?
I have another shrimp who is about to moult, I'll keep a close eye and update.
 
My water is a bit on the soft side, but barely.

I used to have a lot of problems with this, but settled it fairly simply by adding a bit of calcium sulphate, takes ages to dissolve, but does eventually.
 
Does depend on how soft you mean by soft.

Should be plenty, my tank only runs at about 5 and I've not had any moulting issues.

Can't find any source near my place for calcium and iodide..
 
I've been told to use a dr turtle slow release calcium block, wondering what it can do to my fish..

Ok, here's a little update on that:
I have got my liquid calcium and some iodide from the mail and I dose it every week when doing my water changes.
I just dose a small amount and have noticed that my shrimp are becoming redder, and no loss since then!
