I just use a garden hose attached to my kitchen tap... Put hose in tank, Turn it on let water in to tank then turn off and disconnect from tap and let it siphon. To refill get temp right then attach hose and refill while dosseing whole tank with dechlorinater.. Job done :-)
I have a six ft tank with a two and half foot sump tank . You can fit loads of different types of media in it and also the heaters and air stones. I also have auto water top up and the good thing is everything is out of site
Every thing is 0 apart from nitrate wich is always 40 the same as the tap. I done a 25% wc 2 days ago..
I will have to find a small swimmer frame for him :-)
I bought 4 albino corys at the Woking branch and within four hours 2 of them are dead on the sand :-( the other two seem fine at the moment. they are not open untill the day after Boxing Day for me to complain......
And my water is fine
I use play sand from Argos, only 2.99. Wash it first in a bucket with a hose then use a jug to put it in the tank. Just make sure you pour slowly and at the bottom . I never have problems when I top up. :-)
I have sand substrate and did have moe kuhli loaches but I lost them due to them getting into the weir and to there deaths in the sump :-(
The peacock gobys and lyretails look really nice
I would put a pic of the tank up but not sure how
Is there any type of odd ball that could go in a community tank with guppys etc.
I would like something completely different looking to mix with my set up
I've read a lot of people have purchased small angel fish and let them grow up with guppys and the angels will leave them aloan ... How true is this as would like a few angels with out risk of losing my guppys
