Silver Sand

Hi All

Has anybody used silver sand in there aquarium and i dont mean the colour you can buy it from most builder's stores it looks identical to what you would buy in the fish stores just that it a fraction of the cost.

Any thoughts?

It is ok to use in your aquarium, but sand can be quite hard to clean, i would only use a thin layer

I have sand already i just wanted to use this as a top up i will give it a good soak before hand to remove any dust etc.
