So if i get my 215l tank is there a faster way to do water changes as my current tank is 28l and thats just a 1 bucket change of water. i was thinking that i have an electronic gravel vac which i havent used for a while and i was thinking that i could attach a longer hose to it so that the water can reach the sink but i am thinking that the hose might not secure properly and that im not sure how to put water back in

The was a thread on here recently about a DIY python - try and find that and that should give you the answers your looking for.

On my mobile now so not easy to search and copy/paste links

I use a garden hose and syphon from my tank straight into the bath. Ive got a mixer tap connector too for refilling. I change 50-75% on my 450 litre every week and this way takes very little time at all

i was also looking for such an thread. thanks for posting the link leighton_87!

I also wrote a tutorial. Check out the link in my sig :)

I really like the ideas in this thread:

Especially the one by a member called "behold" further down who uses a genuine T-type connector with a switch to connect to the tap rather than the Y-type one in the initial post.
You can actually buy an original T-type connector for a python system of your choice. Then buy the hose and a bottom connector to attach your own siphon which will make it a cheaper python instead of buying the hole lot ready.
For example a T-connector for the aqueon water changer costs this in the US:

There could be better ones in the UK too. Anyway, the top part of it on the picture screws up to the tap(if that's the type of tap you have, otherwise an additional adapter is needed). It fits my Irish tap. The side thing sticking out on the picture is where the hose is attached(you'd need to buy a size that fits). And that's it, if you don't attach a siphon at the other end and you are happy to use the hose itself instead, you are ready rock and roll. You can still siphon true the hose if it's not too flexible and folds. The T adaptor uses the tap water pressure to do the job. It has a flip switch on itself which depending on the position it is set on will either start the siphon out, or will fill the water into the tank(providing you've turned the tap water on in both cases). It allows you to easy adjust the water temperature while you are still siphoning water out, then flip the switch, and water starts filling in :) instead, easy job... You don't need to move your finger while doing it almost.
I've got the aqueon water changer altogether and it's a time/life saver with 4 tanks 50% water changes every week but you don't need to pay the money for the hole package honestly besides buying the tap connector.
To give you an idea, that's how the hole lot looks when assembled:

Having read this, I worked out my own system for my 350l - the tank is in the lounge, not far from a window, so with a 4m length of hose I can siphon it straight out of the window. I then got a hoselock adaptor for the shower mixer (I take the shower hose off) in the bathroom (upstairs) - I've cut a length of hose, to use just for the tank. I can then run the hot and cold to the right temperature via the bath tap and flick the lever to 'shower' and off it goes through the hose, down the stairs, round the banister, into the lounge and into the tank. So much easier! My old tank was a 160l so that was 5-6 buckets per change, which I did by bucket, but didn't fancy doubling that!

For a 215l that might require more buckets but the weird thing with my tank is that its 28l and taking 10 litres out of it makes the remaining water in the tank look a quarter left so that could happen in the next tank

Have you got water displacement by sand , gravel, ornaments, rocks, wood etc? It might be that you can't fit more than 20l in?
