if the molly is swimming upside down, then it sounds to me like a swim bladder issue. ive had fish with this before, they struggle to swim and cant seem to control themselves or keep upright, is this the problem? if so you can buy medication for this in your lfs

platys or swordtails, they are easy to breed and come in a variety of colours

they are alot more active today, and slightly less scared, i added 5 sword tails 2m+3f and a rainbow cichlid (heratilapia multispinosa) the swordtails open swimming fearless nature has had a very positive effect on them as before the snakeskins were the only real open swimming fish in the tank

cant you just use myaxin? or another whitespot treatment to treat the whole tank, that way the one with it gets cured and all the other ones wont catch it because the medicine is already present in the water. the one i use turns the water green. and also this is tropical discussion not coldwater...

i know there are several types of plants that dont get eaten by any fish, i just know nothing of aquatic plants names

could you recomend plants that would work? as i have a uaru and i hear they are notorious for eating many types of plants also 2 of them dive into the gravel and hit themselves so they might still continue. i got a group of them so they felt more at home as i read snakeskins like to be kept more...

from what ive read on the internet over the years although they can be territorial they make ideal cichlid tankmates. rams are comunity fish, but they are still cichlids so they can handle the aggression. and if all else fails like you said you have a rio 180 there shouldnt be any territory...

from what ive experienced gourami and dwarf cichlids such as microgeophagus sp can cohabitate fine with gouramis. gouramis like the upper levels of the tank whereas dwarf cichlids are only aggresive when breeding and like to deffend their territory, and this is almost never the upper section of...

if a yoyo is a pakistani loach mine was eaten by an african sidenecked turtle but they are very easy going gentle fish. so i doubt they are doing it

thats a real shame they are beauitful fish. its okay we all make this mistake at some time or another, its just live and learn now. he was only nicer coloured cause he was the bigger dominant one, now hes gone another will take his palce at the top of the food chain.

ilike it, especialy the swordtails and the black gravel brings the fish colours out better so its importnat. you should have a nice background on there too would make alot of difference
