Well hopefully on the underwater camera there will be a decent one of me in the natural swimming pool in the middle of the ocean!

    I've streamlined...

Steamlining is basically minimalising. Clearing out the clutter.

    I've streamlined...

It's only 2' Cat. I love the big plant on the left. The fish like hiding behind there when I do water changes or when they see me with the camera -_-

    I've streamlined...

I'm a little overstocked at the moment due to some un-expected fry so I decided to do a bit of streamlining until the extra fish go to my my brothers. The result: A near empty tank! PS - dont worry about the white on the gravel - it's the effect my airstone has on the lower levels of gravel...

My Holiday Pics... MOD: Dial up warning

Then, by Thursday Jeanne had really took hold of the island. We had to stay in our hotel room, unplug to TV (and turn it to face the wall), pack our belongings in case we were evacuated and basically just sit and wait. For 18 hours we waited and our fight home was cancelled :-( The hotel...

    will it work?

Yeah I agree. Keep an eye on your parameters over the next few days. If they were meant to grow in water than I'm sure you'd be picking them out of a pond instead of your soil.

How to add the fish :S

I've never done it but I'd imagine they'd be bagged and in an polystyrene package of some sort to protect them against knocks and bumps. Hopefully they'd be marked appropriately too e.g. "live fish enclosed" or something like that.

What type of fish is this, or is it a fish? :S

That's definately what I was thinking about.
  22. S

How to add the fish :S

You'd still need to do the turning the light off, floating bag thing and the adding tank water to the bag bit but then instead of tipping the bag opening into the tank to release the fish, you'd use your net instead and quickly scoop them into the tank. Try not to be too jerky with this method...

What type of fish is this, or is it a fish? :S

I can't remember what they're called but there are some "fish" that start out as tadpoley things then in years to come they actually become amphibians. I saw some at my favourite lfs last time I went there. I'm really sorry I can't remember what they're called.

How to add the fish :S

There's not usually alot of water in the bag with your new fish so as long as you're not over your maximum level in the tank already you should be OK. If you'd feel more comfortable taking a cup of water out beforehand then by all means do. Adding the shops water is completely your own choice...

How to add the fish :S

It's not hard at all it just required patience. * Switch out your light * Float the bag containing the fish in your tank for at least 30 minutes * Add a cup of your water to the bag and float it for at least another 20 minutes * Gently tip the bag and allow the fish to swim out (try not to...

How to add the fish :S

You really run the risk of giving your fish a nice bout of temperature shock by just scooping them out and dumping them in. They will get stressed out because they're in new surroundings, different water parameters (chemical balance) and also have new tank mates to suss out. When the fish are...

    Stress-out!!!

I'm afraid not. You should never keep fish in a tank that's too small. To be honest I dont really know what fish you could have in a 2 gall apart from a betta :dunno: Plattys need at least 5 gallons. Have a look at this : http://www.fishforever.co.uk/platies.html

 I have over 60 mollies now, what do i do?

Yeah give them to other fish-keepers, or your lfs (some will even buy them from you or give you store credit in return). Psssst - Just dont use them as feeders if you're in the UK (cos it's illegal!!!)

    What's your pet's favorite toy?

Millie loves her soft multicoloured pyramid toy. It used to rattle, until my housemate stood on it! She also has a squeeker in the shape of a christmas stocking that she's rather partial to too!

    Is It

I'm sorry to hear that your fish died. Yes, I agree with tempestuousfury, giving birth is very stressful for the lil fishies. Maybe something did go wrong with the birth or maybe she just wasn't strong enough to cope with it. I hope your little fry is OK.

Typical symptoms of diseases or false alarms

My eternal gratitude to you PT. I was worrying about one of my fish because I think it has swimbladder. :S The bad news is, I'm not pretty sure it is swimbladder. The good news is, at least I know what it is!! Thanks alot :D

I suffered the same problem this week :( Cant find anything for my holiday  I nominate Betta_Lova because although we didnt got off the the best of starts (he screamed, shouted, roared and pulled my petals out :X ), I know he's running low on food and that's good enough reason for...
