Here, on the Fundy coast in Canada, I have become a connaisseur of jackets. I have a very light one, a light one, a warmer one and upwards. One day it'll be 25c and it's t-shirt weather, but the next it could be 15, and I'd need a jacket or a sweatshirt. When I lived in Montreal, I had 3 jackets for the whole year - here, I have 5. You just never know, from day to day, or from morning to afternoon. The other day had temperatures reaching 30c. It was shorts and a t-shirt weather. I fired up the barbecue at around 7pm, and I could see my breath.
All it takes is a subtle change in wind direction, and suddenly, it's the Atlantic ocean calling. This morning we were fogged in til noon, and now it's blazing sunshine, and raining.
I love this, because I'm a cool weather creature. We have no AC, but between April and late October, we don't need to heat the house. The winter is long though, and I made my greenhouse because the growing season can be tight.
