I know I’m getting old. I did not understand a word Matt said.

Neither did I, I just hit like. Now if i have to change a hard drive I think I can. Much cheaper than a new computer and I have a backup external hard drive.

On the what am I doing, waiting to thaw out, it's made to 19 F today. I need to take the chicks some breakfast, i took warm water out about 8:30 and they were thirsty and still had food. Chickens tolerate cold much better than they tolerate heat.

It appears that card sells for over $1000. Yikes… glad I’m not into gaming. My hp i3 chromebook does all I need to do.. mainly websurfing and youtube videos.

Ya, they can be costly. When my video card came out it was a touch over $1100.00 USD and, 4 years later, goes for just under $800.00 USD. I use it more for video processing than gaming.

It replaced a very old GeForce GTS 450 with 768 mo ram... So, I can say, that The upgrade is quite noticeable. Loll.

I have connections to get fine "Refurbished" computer hardware at the kind of price that warranty is not an issue.

If it blows, I change it.

And no... For the moment no "wire on fire". Loll. But yeah, I have experience building computers and Replaced PSU at the same time without thinking about "problems" I just wanted to make sure that the power was there.

Just a word of advice... If the card requires 2 6-pin or 1 6-pin and 1 4-pin auxiliary power cables, try to use feeds from different power supply rails as this will avoid unnecessary stress on the PSU.

Hehehe !!! I was waiting for a chance to brag about it !!!

I put my hands on a Seasonic Prime TX-1600 Watts Modular PSU, supporting ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards.

So I should be ok for the next Motherboard, CPU, Ram upgrade.

I never do everything at once... It hurts too much. Loll.

Hey Big, difficult to see who you are talking to, in these kind of "public" threads. But since your answer follows mine directly.

I have Many advice's I can give you to help yourself with money and the cure is within yourself, for all.

I don't know you so, don't assume that this is pointed toward you, I have no idea what you are going trough. And this answer is nonobstant where you live too. And would repeat the same thing for everyone.

You might have no idea how much you will have to work your A** out before you can prove to any boss that you worth more than your pay.

You might have no idea how much you will have to search for a boss like that.

You certainly have no idea what it will take after to make sure he thinks you worth your weight in gold.

People are seriously letting their kids up to 30 years old today, playing legos in their basement... pulling boogers off their noses... Before making them hauling it.

At 16 I had "my car" going to school, 2 jobs (one fun and another, not so much.) Was paying rent in my parent house.

And was piling up to get my own.

I'm a real old style Gen X and was kicked in the butt...

But at some point. You cant take all your life, to decide what your going to do with it.

I had a super busy and exciting day at the state capitol, meeting with 13 different representatives and senators to discuss the impact of rare disease on WA state residents and the need for increased resources and diagnostic testing in infants. One of the house reps had a bunny in his office. Very fun.
