I wanted to ask you how your wife is doing ?

I pray she is doing better since you had to admit her to the hospital.

I’m going to be doing a water change on my 10 gallon quarantine aquarium in a few minutes.

Good doctors work wonders but praying never helps the sick person.

For me personally praying does work

I’m glad you’re wife is doing better

Good luck in her recovery

Just finished the driveway. The snowblower would not move the mess so out came the tractor with a backblade. We had a mere 3 inches of snow followed by a coating of ice followed by a massive rainstorm. The temp went from low 20s to mid 30s and created a real mess.

I do not like using a blade on our driveway as it is crushed stone and gravel. The blade loosens the stones, and I also wind up with stone piles in the spring that need respreading. Also creates ruts that need filling. Had to get the mess up because it is supposed to get very cold, and I did not want the junk to freeze. I had to use an icepick in a few spots by the roadside that were frozen solid. How it froze is beyond me as the temps were warm and the it was stuff from the roadway loaded with deicer and salt. Just shaking my head at the meanness of this winter.

This storm came through exactly as advertised. Another one threatens over the weekend. I REALLY dislike winter.

I used the power of mind - i wished that no snow covered the driveway and low and behold no snow covers the driveway ;)

Lot's of snow, no ice at the moment... but it's border line to turn.

And the wind completely covered my driveway. And... it's not finished.

A great time to order delivery lunch and see how they are gonna make it !

Well the weekend weather report is just plain nasty. Now the weather lady used lots of words but she could haved summed it up using three -- Just Plain NASTY.

Supposed to start Saturday afternoon with 4 to 7 inches of snow followed by sleet and freezing rain for a few hours. The cream on top? Another 2 -3 inches of snow. Lest we not forget, winds steady at 20 - 25 with gusts to 50.

Need I repeat myself? OK I will. I dislike winter very much.

It’s time to relocate.

We are supposed to get a pile of snow Sunday as well. But I had fun today. Yesterday I built all the pieces for a tank rack, where I would have the tanks at 4 feet from the ground, but room under them to have half of my work table, to open up floor space. I didn't want to assemble it (and drain tanks with fish) because there was a chance the power might go out with freezing rain predicted. The grid held on, and I held off.

This morning, I put it all together, and got the 3 tanks I had to move all set up. One was getting too much sunlight where it was, and therefore too much algae. The other two just made more sense in the new idea.

This connects to the Nanochromis thread, as I now have a place for the young to grow in, if I can ever catch them. It may be a place for the adults to live in, and maybe I'll leave the fry in the original tank once they are ready to be on their own. I'm expecting some rare and challenging Cichlids in the summer, and the 4 foot tank they're in would work well. By then the young fry will be sale sized juveniles.

A long time ago like a few years ago - i used to live in Boston; and every 3 or 4 year we would get a 2 to 4 foot snowfall. I gotta say it was kind of interesting trying to walk in 4 foot of snow - here is a picture from one of those snow falls:

I chopped the head off in the photo because well - they might not like their pretty face plastured all over the internet; this is two or three days after the snow fall so there was a bit of melting:

Regardless of amount of snow Boston had a strict shoveling law and John Kerry was ticketed for being away on a diplomatic mission when he failed to shovel but that wasn't this snowfall:

Truth be told i miss the snow and Boston in general - while i grew up in my current location - i really liked not having to drive and being able to walk to my heart content.

@MaloK That brings back NOT fond memories of past snowfalls and snowy winters.

This is a few years ago, in front of the house. I'm 6"3:
