Yeh… you need pockets in your wedding dress to keep your phone in your pocket so you can have it handy to take candid pics.

Now I'm setting up an old Dell Latitude E5500 laptop I was given today. Old enough to only have a 140GB drive which replaced with a 640GB drive I had sitting around. Just to clear out everything I did a clean install of Windows 10 and it is handling it pretty well. LOL! If you have a valid Windows 7 key code to use you can still do a clean install of Windows 10 for free.

If it all works out the system will go to a friend of mine that has a passion for PS1 games, especially Spyro. I'll put Super Nintendo and Play Station 1 emulators on the thing... mayhaps N64. Haven't tried the emulators yet as I need to install the video card drivers which will happen after Windows Updates is done.

All done for now with the Dell laptop. It just isn't going to do the game console emulators while running Windows 10. Shoot the thing is over 16 years old; I'm surprised that it still runs at all. Still I will probably keep it around to play a bit, possibly try earlier versions of Windows to see what happens.

So....there is a saying about best laid plans....I sometimes wonder why I get out of bed....

Ordered the new power tools, tool boxes, hand tools etc etc etc......Makita brand...yesterday.

Email this morning from the supplier that the Makita kit has an issue (not disclosed what) and would a second option fit the bill?

Einhell....impact/drill/driver boxed with battery and charger plus 70+ assorted drill bits and driver bits.....because of the inconvenience, 25% off list price.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm........did a bit of a Google (seen the TV adverts for Einhell that are filmed at Bayern Munich stadium and the firm sponsors Bayern Munich too but that is about it). Reviews seem very good...not just customer reviews but also the expert ones.

Okey dokey......

Yep....I can go with that as a replacement. So tomorrow the Einhell impact/drill/driver kit, plus 3 lockable/stackable empty, foam lined Einhell toolboxes, plus an assortment of hand tools and safety gear will be arriving by courier.

Then the curtains and curtain pole decided to thow a curveball at me.

Curtains literally went out of stock whilst I was typing my debit card into the box......OK so I shall go with just the pole and hunt down suitable curtains elsewhere.......blow me down with half a ton of feathers, the pole went out of stock too.

A few expletives of the very unladylike fashion later and another store has a slate grey wooden curtain pole....3.6m....perfect. Same store has 90"x90" charcoal eyelet curtains....2 pairs......perfect. They will be arriving tween tomorrow and Saturday.

Best laid plans and all that....pppffffftttttttttt

@JuiceBox52 congrats on the dress, and on the impending wedding. Pockets are useful in case you need snacks, or have extra fishfood jars you forgot to put away.

Today, I was just out clearing snow so there'll be room for more snow tomorrow.
