Actually right now I'm planning a new recipe. It would be basically scalloped taters and broccoli but without cheese, or at least not much cheese. Would use either Yukon Gold or Baby Red taters. The sauce would be sour cream based with just a little horse radish for a 'tang'. Might use some cheese but just mixed with crushed croutons as a crumble on top to give a little extra texture as a crunch. Smoked provolone would probably taste good but it is terrible for melting as it is a cured cheese. Would more likely use Swiss cheese. Since it would be an oven dish line the pan with ham streaks and it is a one pan dish.
