What are you doing today?

I unplugged my darn light.
Time to murder the dang cyanobacteria
My cyano is so bad haha. Lowering the lighting duration and adding root fert tabs has made a HUGE difference though

Yah. At first it was pretty. I was like: "Oh how nice! It gives some color to the tank!" Now it's like: "Alright times up. Your life will now be shortened."

Just a question, how do rootabs help? Is it because it's in the substrate rather than in the water column?

Yeah the cyano can’t feed off of it but the plants still get fertilizer

While that us a GREAT idea and I love it 100%. I cannot use it 😅.
I have java ferns and anubias. Both water column feeders.... So root tabs won't do much lol
I'm getting cyano again too. Hate that stuff.
Cyano buddies
We could start a support group.
Heck yah to all three!

As long as the rhizome is out of the water having the roots under is fine and they can feed from the roots, that’s how mine are
