I'm sipping some Hazelnut coffee and nursing my hangover...............I'm not the slightest bit hungry right now either. The brats aren't sitting right! Let this be a lesson folks, never pig out when you partake in too many lagers..............

Big day planned. I have to mow 1.88 acres, 2 water changes on my 20 gallon tanks, and I get to fire up the chainsaw to cut up some trees. Oh, I I have to apply weed killer to a few of the garden beds and rotate the tires on my car. It makes me tired just thinking about it, maybe I'll take a nap..........

Hey Lovelies.

So I did the big clean-up, cleaned the filter, removed the fish sausages, changed 20L of water, and then... Bee just had to fill the tank with fry again.
My hoplo's at the surface blowing bubbles everywhere again and moving the plants around. 2 tiny fry are still alive, 1 hiding under my Java Fern's roots and 1 is behind a rock in front of the tank. Cracker ate pretty much any fry that was stupid enough to swim out in the open (which is like 90% of them). -.- And the only 2 survivors look more like guppy fry than anything.

Went to the braves baseball game last night! Won 5-2 vs the blue jays
I've got a busy day too. W/c on all 4 tanks: 40% on 29 50% on both 10s and about 40%-70% on the 5. Then if it ain't rainin I'm cutting our 1.27 acre lawn, spraying fertilizer everywhere and then off to put the Tahitian moon sand and do a better job of aquascaping my yellow pingu guppy/ cherry shrimp breeding tank. Shrimp coming soon. Busy day!!! Also expecting quite a few packages of stuff I ordered
Hey, how long would it take these 2 sponge filter sponges I put in my main filter to colonize it? Looking to use it soon in my shrimp tank.

Woke up without a hangover for the first Sunday in foreverrrrr, sorry Ruskell Saturday night cocktails should be everyone's ritual! Only had one last night and fell asleep like an old Grandma in my chair. Too much TX sun yesterday. I missed the whole Hockey game and everything!!!

Taking my kiddies to the pool today. I thought about tossing them in to see if they know how to swim. Good luck kiddies!

Woke up without a hangover for the first Sunday in foreverrrrr, sorry Ruskell Saturday night cocktails should be everyone's ritual! Only had one last night and fell asleep like an old Grandma in my chair. Too much TX sun yesterday. I missed the whole Hockey game and everything!!!

Taking my kiddies to the pool today. I thought about tossing them in to see if they know how to swim. Good luck kiddies!

I did a water change on the tanks.. whilst I was elbow deep I did some plant maintenance.. A few months ago the wife bought some bamboo to put in the tanks.. one dint do so well so I pulled it today.. It stunk like a fine French cheese..

I almost lost it in the water change buskgut..

Hey FishFanatic04! Thanks for the canister filter advice. My Rena XP3 is working great and it's so quiet I have to check to make sure it's still running. What size XP is on your 46 gallon? You're still running the Penguin also aren't you?

Thanks for the craigslist idea for a used canister filter. I paid $60 for an XP3 that was filled with cycled media! Right after you mentioned it I checked and found this deal. I owe you one................

I have a xp2 on m 46g lol I bet the xp3 is a killer for a 36. I have a xp3 on my 75 but use a powerhead for stronger flow. It's more then enough filtration though unless I crazy overstock.

I'm not using the penguin anymore. The xp2 was is more then enough on the 46g. All my plants a swaying around nicely.
