Sorry I can't find scientific names at the moment cuz I'm in town!

I will do a paint image when I get home to try to illustrate what I've got in my mind's eye :good:

apisto is actually a male lol.
Not sure what that means in terms of tank setup...
may have to rehome one and get females for the other.

Hi i maybe able to help you i do want some apisto's in my tank
maybe i could buy 2 females and swap one....

Perhaps... except cacatuoides are harem breeders so they're supposed to be in a 1m:2f ratio :hey:  So, you'd have to get 2 females anyway! I would have no objections with you rehoming one though, if you are willing to do that - it would save me searching for a home or donating to a lfs (which I don't really want to do!) and it's only fair after you gave me the purple emperors  They're still quite small though, and are currently recoving from having their fins ripped by the thomasi, so let me get them back to full health and happiness and then I'll PM you? That sound ok? :good:

Hi what type of apisto are they? if i have to have 3 i just need to check my stock to make sure i have room

One of the four-leaved varieties of clover. And I was thinking something grassy towards the back, and then carpet towards the front. And yes a single plant standing out, I was looking at one of the larger crinums, with the crinkly leaves. Perhaps I should draw a picture
Crinum calamistratum?? I have 2 of these and they're great when established, one is about 3 times the size of the other, they're very slow growers (and have staghorn at the moment as a result) but look fantastic in my opinion.

Yes, one like that! :) I see it, I think they're lovely

Stock is now:
18 silvertips
20 blues
17 purple emperors

All the amanos have gone, mysteriously vanished (read murdered by the long arm shrimp, who are now on their own in the garage!).

I like having a tank that actually has a half decent amount of fish in it  it's been a while. Going to redouble my efforts to find some Corydoras habrosus and also going to add a group of ottos. I feel the urge for red, but cannot see how I can get that in.

talking of which, thinking of tweaking my numbers, you've obviously got a way bigger filter i know, but just acquired an EX1200 (can't think where i got that idea from

), dead cheap, but minus a spraybar
Is this the tank with the DIY one ?

... not sure what you mean...!

This tank had an APS EF2000 on it until about 4 hours ago... now it has a Tetratec EX1200. The flow was becoming appalling with the aps so I switched them, but kept the media from the aps with the tank. Nearly finished the swap now. Got wet feet :/
