Could u give us a run down on the pipe work and filtration. Im confuused. :*) I think thats an overflow and inlet pipes. Am i right?

lol grim reaper!!

thanks people...

right all the pipes in the 2nd pics are the inlets, i had to go about doing it in a strange way as my 2 pieces of pipeing only just fitted in the corner hole.

both inlets have a ball valve incase the currents a bit strong for cookie. i really should of bought some 45degree bends!! and the last picture is my 50mm outlet pipes. yet again another ball valve and the chain round it is for a bit of support.

great thread paul

I have two issues I'd like you to clear up though

1; placement be the radiator, is that really the best idea, or do you now have the rad on?

2; the plug sockets. are you not concerned that in the event of a leak they are directly behind the tank? (My solution would be to change the internal sockets to external ones)

(goes away thinking of a way to steal pauls tank :p )

looks cool Paul
im sure cookie will look awesome in it

Yeah it's a bit tight with the radiator but it's 1ft away and we don't normally heat the house too much, just let the wood burner do it's thing.

which plug sockets do you mean? the ones behind the main tank on the wall or the 4 way gang above the sump?

either way I'm too worried about leaks, all the plumbing is well sealed and i'll be swiping a condensation tray from work today. bit of an ass that the light lead is bloody short!!

bit worries now about the silicone on the bulkhead, reakons it needs 48hours to cure but i really need to fill it today to put fish in it tomorrow.
